36ers Gala Auction
Just saw this on their Facebook page and I'm a little confused as to why they would raffle off a Lamelo Ball jersey?

Also, have just seen they have a RJ Hampton jersey up for auction also.
I get they're both special players, but I'm a bit miffed as to why the 36ers have their signed jerseys?

Who cares, it's not nuclear weapons or blood diamonds or anything objectionable like that.
It makes money for the club as people want to buy so why not?
They are special players... yet. They are just massively well marketed.
Lovebroker, clearly the initial poster cares, or is Atleast curious. Hearing this, has raised my eyebrow as well. So it's a warranted point of some interest for some. Would be massive problems if it was any of your other examples.
"Lovebroker, clearly the initial poster cares, or is Atleast curious. Hearing this, has raised my eyebrow as well."
Its obvious why - to raise money.
If the question is "why are the Sixers selling a jersey for an opposition player?" then Lovebroker has already answered it correctly.
I guess reality is some would prefer to bid on a Lamelo jersey rather than a McVeigh lol
relax, I'm sure it’s what normally happens at an auction.......you know, raise money for items. "Miffed" hahahahaha
"as to why the 36ers have their signed jerseys?"
Because its the only place they could get their signatures.
Hahahaha love the above post! God GK appears to be a petty one.

No where near the Pettiness of the Kings owner, just check his Twitter.
Yeah, apparently people didn't appreciate the meaningless milestone that Ware just achieved.
Yeah, real dumb idea. Why have a signed potential number 1 NBA pick jersey over a superstar co captain in Kevin White. Simple economics, there'll be heaps of Ball autograph merchandise in the future and maybe a dozen or so White jerseys, what's going to be more rare, duh.
I remember getting offered a Don Bradman signed used bat he used in the ashes years ago. I ended up swapping it for a signed Mark Cosgrove bat, that shit is rare af. Who's the idiot there.

"Hey, I know it's a bit weird, but LK got Ball and Hampton jerseys signed for each club to fundraise a bit. Throw them in the auction?"
Easily explained.
Even better if it were game-worn against the club or could be suggested as having happened.

Thought you guys might like the miffed comment ;).
Anywho, I think the REAL drawcard is the two-hour cooking session with Daniel Johnson and Brendan Teys. Not even kidding if I lived in Adelaide, I'd go for it.

A cooking class with Vaughan Mayberry and Michael Aylen in Perth would be good. Love that home cooking
I think Michael Aylen would also run a good cockring class
Michael Aylen game night jersey, would go for a bundle!
It would be good if the 36ers could make the playoffs again and make it a celebration dinner and not another wake.

Is Harry on sale?
Like to see if I can snap him up for Jim's mowing at West Lakes for a weekend.
