Nick Young: I'll be playing in NBL next year

Nick Young has tweeted he'll play NBL next season. Would be a good fit in Illawarra? They need some scoring

Ummm, he doesn't have power to play here unless someone signs him. Considering his problems that seems unlikely unless Jailbreakers need some more negative press. Why the stress?

He's been talking to NBL teams for a few months now. One or more of the NBL teams are keen on him, he will be here next season. Lk won’t pass this up.

Nothing says bush league than what has happened this year with the next stars so we should really get Nick Young out here to help restore faith in the NBL brand

Maybe teams without next stars should be allowed to sign guys to ten game contracts. Doubt he wants to move to Australia for six months.

OMG Please no...

I have heard the following (t)rumours out of Perth:
i) Goal is to keep 2~3 developing kids on the roster to free up space in the 5-man cap, allowing a decent 8 man rotation.
ii) A Naturalised Cotton will be the Starting PG next season, sliding to the 2 when Norton comes off the bench, with a new import to start at the 2 or 3 alongside White.
iii) Perth is actively looking for more high quality ex-NBA talent. Players who have already made their money and are still capable of playing 20 minutes a game for an NBL season.

So no, please don't point out that this clown fits all of the above.

I'm actually not convinced he'd do that well down here;

His last 2-3 years in the NBA was pretty much a spot-up shooter; but nothing more.

Plus he will be 35 by next NBL season.

I'm down with this as long as Swaggy P signs with the Kings to troll his ex in her own home town.

After what I saw on the weekend around 4-5 metres away from the Kings bench, I'd beg to differ with that statement.

A 35 year old ex-Laker who spent most of his career as a meme and won't have played in years?

Sounds exactly like an LK move. Lock it in.

UTH

I checked the map.

It has an added bonus of being within reasonable driving distance of the Timezone within a time zone.
