woodville just went down to Eastern by about 10.

It is fair to say the younger players from woodvile were sightly outgunned by the likes of Brad Davis who didn't miss many. Not sure what his stats were.
Eastern also had a slight size advantage but tha wood crashed the boards bloody hard and didn't give too many 2nd looks away, also crashing offensive boards to generate plenty of scoring opportunities for themselves.

Woodville came out firing in the 1st up 27-20. The 2nd much the same. It was late in the 3rd and entering the 4th when Eastern rallied to eventually obtain the lead to only extend that in the final couple of minutes to win by around 10.

Eastern started with Ben Madgen at the point, but he was contained early and gave the ball up a number of times causing a few break opps for woodville on which they converted.

The eagles beat Sturt by bout 8 points.Eagles started well, but a good second term by the sabres led by big Finklemyer and Sheppard had them up by two at the half.

But the eagles D stepped up a notch in the third, keeping the sabres to only about 10 points for the quarter I believe...eagles up by 6 at the third change.

They extended that lead in the fourth, with the Sabres making a late charge to get within 3 with about 4 mins to play, until Sutton put the game out of reach.

Pretty good game for a first round summer league game....very up tempo!

Eagles were just two strong in the end, with Sutton, Gange, Haydon and Mac-Taylor all contributing well. Interesting to note, young Trent Fildes suiting for the eagles and playing pretty well. Got some big rebounds, and made a couple of nice shots.think he might be good enough to get some minutes this year...early days tho!

That's right people, I lasted the whole game and not one tech!
The Panthers got the win as well which was more important and I racked up my first win as a senior coach. I would also like to take this moment to announce my retirement from senior coaching, it's been good while it lasted and i'm glad I can go out with a winning record!

North beat Norwood by 6, not 12. Norwood fought back from around 20+ down.
