Breakers v United
So far this round all the home teams have won, and won well. United should be feeling the heat. A bad loss could see them tumble out of the 4, but A loss sees them enter the Danger Zone. There's 4 other teams that would welcome them with open arms and thank them for opening up a space for finals.
One of those teams is New Zealand, who suddenly have half the NBL barracking for them. NZ will nibble up the ladder if they win. They are yet to beat the Soy Boys this year, but in recent times have shown they can teams that are more fancied than them and so carry a confidence into this game like a son of a Entrepreneur spending other people's money.
United. What can we say? Decimated by Adelaide last round and losses to in form teams Cairns and Brisbane, with their only win against Illawarra. Hey, is there any team not beating the Hawks at the moment? Both Long and Trimble have reached the 50 game milestone, so will they celebrate with a W, or will it be a long flight home with Vickerman sitting in the middle wanting to have a chat...that would be a little awkward.
I'm thinking although United have the fresh legs, this is the land of the long white whistle and so the refs will give Hoopsters plenty to talk about, especially the soft fouls on Long. They won't fall for the antics os CG43 who seems to suddenly jerk his head back whenever an opposition player gets too close. In retirement I'm sure they could use him to mop the floor. Sek Henry is supposedly back, but between Delaney and Abba, I think United have a lot to think about.
I'll go the Breakers on this one. Possible OT game, but hang onto your organic soy lattes, I think this game will be closer than he ones so far this round, and NZ to win by 6
