observations of fellas game
what i noticed on ABC was - Erin kept a good check on the dandy number 1 - but all they were doing was
1) setting an up screen with a tall player
2) fellas would switch (could be cleaner)on teh ball ahdler - creating a height miss match with Erin and a tall
3) it wasn't really a pick and roll - but no help defence when this tall cut
4) the switching fellas player did not close the outside shooter down after the switch with erin - 3 to 4 steps off a hot hand is not a good enough close out.
5) - i watched a lot of WNBA over winter - Laura summerton's game is 200% better - the problem Laura has had is - in the WNBA - the referees had 10 girls literally often wrestling each other on and off the ball - Laura is more physical now - but in teh WNBL a lot of the other players play off each other - so as soon as some bofy action occurs - the refs focus on only 2 players - calling any indescretion she probably woulf have got away with or needed to paly over in the wnba
