Drug Testing
Curious as to drug testing in the NBL and local leagues, how much randomized drug tests going on and should there be more of it happening?

Was at Flyers vs Boomers WNBL game and the ASADA was there testing the athletes after the game that night.
There was limited drug testing in NBL1 last Season. Lucky it was limited for at least one team I suggest.

Don't think there was any at all in Premier League. Not surprising. They want to be able to keep the imports in.
Nbl guys get drug tested frequently, I've heard players hanging around for two hours as ran out fluids in their bodies that it takes time to re hydrate as to be able to piss.

Pretty sure no testing in QBL. If there was, I'm certain there would be a number of rather concerned individuals :)
So maybe part of any NBL 1 deal in SA involves random drug testing!

It's a part of all Premier League contracts anyway so they should be doing it if they have their suspicions and by the sounds of things people do. Also a part of all imports visas not to take part in any illegal activities.

Basketball SA won't spend the money on testing them and the club's aren't going to test their star players
You only have to go out on a Saturday night after a game and see what these NBL & PL players get into. Huge eye opener. They party harder than the average teenage kid.

Why would clubs insist on it? They don't want to lose their players. Many clubs are aware of the habits of their players but as long as they're winning, they're happy.
Yep #300 or just stand a little close to some of these imports and you may get a little whiff of what they do.
Will be introduced in Big V State Champ next year

"By posting to this forum or reading beyond these terms you agree not to post any information that is threatening, obscene, defamatory and/or knowingly false, hateful, sexually oriented or in violation of any Australian law"
Why are so many posts getting deleted when they aren't in fact defamatory or false? Is it illegal to state known facts?

NBL penalties are weak generally.

Not setting much of an example for the minor leagues. No wonder there's so much drug use going on with the premier league players.
