Breakers v Sixers Dec 15
Super Sunday kicks off with the Sixers playing the cousins across the ditch.
Last time they played, the Sixers pummelled the Breakers, pulling the wings off them like a child pulls the wings off a bug. It's a different Breakers team today. They have had a shocking season with injuries and off court drama dominating the headlines. It's like they were extras on Shortland Street. But one man has stood tall. Abercrombie has been the glue that has held the team together. He might not be taking the glory on the leader board, but he has been as good on the court as Glen Rice has been bad off the court.
Webster has been The Breakers saviour, but they go deep with any player willing to stand up in any game at any time. Just like Whack-a-mole.
The Sixers played an absolute thriller on Friday night and this might be their undoing today. New Zealand with the fresher legs and home court advantage are in a much stronger position, but just when you think all is done, enter Harry Froling who would be on a high with some party tricks.
The Sixers may have played their hand this round against SEM. Short turnaround and a long trip might be the difference today. For the Sixers to win, they need to be up by 10 at 3 quarter time. For the Breakers to win, they just need to be in the game and then throw out the spinnaker in the end.
Sadly for us Sixers fan, I think it'll be the Breakers by 6
