Cairns v New Zealand Dec 6
What a game to open proceedings for Round 10. Cairns at home are particularly hard to beat and are in that log jam for 4th spot. It doesn't matter if they make finals, just so long as they finish higher than Brisbane.
New Zealand are travelling about as well as rugby Australia, and not even inspirational motivational speaker Israel Folau could inspire them to a win this game, no matter how much they pay him.
Cairns are tricky at home. They have won their last 3 home games, and this year have the big scalps of Melbourne (twice) and Perth as well as the "Mexicans" from Brisbane. They have lost to Sydney and our fan favourite team of the Hawks. The Breakers on the road have struggled like a guy who lied on his resume he could disarm IEDs. 0/5 on the road this season and the last three losses have been in double figures.
It's not looking good for the cousins across the ditch as it's hard to see them milk the snakes tonight, who are definitely punching above their weight on court and in attracting the crowds to the game. Their only worry would be whether they decide to implode with turnovers and silly mistakes. Their average win at home is 7 points, but their loss is 9 points.
Snakes to strike early and hold onto a 5 point win.
