Lamelo Ball is the real deal

We are witnessing greatness. My suggestion see him in person play while you can. This is like seeing Lebron before he went to the NBA.

Stat padder? Let me guess- he only passes it when he knows the player he passes to will score? He scores only to score for himself and not the team? He goes for rebounds just for the stats?

His main weakness is outside shooting. He is incredibly streaky. Tonight he reverted back to his poor run from 3 after a few good games. He needs to be consistent from 3 otherwise a good NBA defenders will take away the penetration he is getting in the NBL. Heck, if Abercrombie doesn't get into foul trouble that stat line gets worse.

But he is talented and will go top 5.

His handles are amazing. Or at least I thought they were until he got picked by Henry!

Ngatai did a good job. Ngatai wasn't there to lock Ball down, he was there because he had the length to contest Ball but had the experience and IQ to switch correctly off ball on certain Hawks actions. That’s why RJ was off because RJ gets lost defensively and doesn’t communicate with his teammates very well at times. I think that’s the most minutes Ngatai’s ever played in an NBL game.

"Lot quicker and better handles than Simmons."

Slow your roll there champ. He is a top 5 pick, maybe top 3 if he keeps his current form. But Simmo is a very, very fast human being at 6'10". Plus he doesn't get ripped very often.

Melo is awesome, and I am enjoying watching him play. But lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

He's good, but I certainly don’t think he’ll be great.
His game is extremely similar to his brother Lonzo’s. Lonzo has been found lacking thanks to his offensive inefficiency. Lamelo’s no different... 25 points is great, but off 28 shots (FG% 35%) is not

Unfortunately no TD for LaMelo he finished on 9 assists.

Not a good look for the NBL when they're still advertising he got a TD.

Still 25, 12, 9 is a great effort.

Arrogance will stop him or mould him to be great. He takes outrageous shots with no regard for team mates or state of the game. If he was on a good team he would be taking those shots because he, team, oach fans ,c would be worried about winning. Doesn't matter playing for Hawks. Every competitive game is a win for them. Every win is like the second coming. No player is bigger than the game!

The NBL updates box scores after they've reviewed the score sheets and, I believe, video of the games. As of Sunday morning, NBL box score is saying 25/12/9.

That's an impressive stat line and whether it's a triple double or not is about arbitrary labels.

6 turn overs and 10 missed 3s equates to about 25 transition points for NZ.
Dumb arse shots. Dumb as shit turn over when he was trying to show everyone how great his handles were instead of playing the game.
Not a great nett positive if at all.
What are the rest of the hawks doing while he is jacking up garbage shots?

Main thing he shrugged is to mess up team chemistry
