Melb v Syd Nov 4
It's the eve of the Melbourne Cup and what better time for an NBL game to stop the nation.
The bookies have Melbourne as favourites over an undefeated Sydney. Melbourne, whose early form resembled the form of the Parabadoo Prancers before they withdrew from the Asian League, have won 2/3 last games. A stirring win over their cross-town latte sipping rivals saw Shawn Long dominate with 12 boards and 31 points combining with the "Earl of Surl" who racked up 24.
Sydney have slain all opponents, but have their swords been blunted? The Bogieman has been a class above others and all his team-mates have contributed well. Newly (Sixers spelling) has made outside the arc his and Tate is a human brick sh!thouse on legs. The Sixers pushed them to OT on the weekend so they are not un-invincible.
It's hard to find too many passengers on the Kings' roster. Even Lucas Walker is doing his bit as his continues his journey around each of the NBL clubs.
There are a plethora of delicious matchups tonight. Bogut-Long, Ware-Trimble, even the bench player matchups are exciting.
Melbourne think they will win, but Sydney are 6-0 for a reason. Sydeney all the way tonight.
