Basketball Victoria and the NBL have announced that the Hobart Chargers will join the NBL1 competition in 2020.

Pioneers and Chargers are now both back for 2020!

They will be back with a less talented side than in previous years.
I think Zac White be naturalised by then so that opens up another import spot. The idea being a career path via NBL1 to the NBL.

There is 3 currently. Hobart, Launceston and North West
No, there is 2 in women, 2 in men.

OK. Lets dumb it down then. There will be no 3rd team in Tasmania other than an NBL side ;)
Should be a couple more associations in next year.
