From melb u web page

Scans have revealed that Prather will require minor surgery that will see him miss 2-3 weeks. He won't travel with the team to the USA for NBLxNBA games, and will aim to return for Melbourne United's next home game in Round 3.

With Prather sidelined, Melbourne has signed Dillon Stith as an injury replacement player.

Such a shame for Prather, because he was looking to be in elite form.

No that's terrible for Prather. I was really hoping he'd go onto the NBA after the NBL but glad to have him back nonetheless.

Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Same knee injury that never saw him take the court in Russia. Let's hope the Australian medicos are better than Russia or the states.

stith is classed as an import in the Big V, so he will be coming in to prather's import spot

Genuine question - what type of minor knee surgery would only put someone out three to four weeks?

When I hear minor knee surgery I think small meniscus or minor cartilage clean, which isn't that closer to three months full recovery. Or maybe two for a pro athlete?

Arthroscopic surgery. A trim of the meniscus. A clean up of a joint. Draining of fluid. Something like that

Is there an official injury report/list for this league so we can keep up to date as the season progresses?

The last time Prather was injured for 2/3 season Melbourne won the championship.
