Breakers have released Obekpa

Breakers Import Chris Obekpa has been released due to an ongoing knee issue.
NZ are immediately searching for a replacement.

Not ideal with the season about to kick off.

Majok and Loe can play the 5. I think they'll go for a strong four that can stretch the floor better. Delany should have been on track to start this year but he’s been struggling both with the Tall Blacks and the Breakers. He may have to move to the bench and at times it looked like Vodanovich was outplaying him.

So don't these guys do their homework with thei import choices?
"On going" knee issues don't magically appear. Or perhaps the player wasn't honest with their injury history?

A Webster replacement required shortly? Majok and Loe better than expected?

Delaney supposed to be nba prospect and you want him to come off the bench.

Ferguson was a 1st round prospect and hardly played, lots of Euro prospects aren't starters, not really a valid point. Just needs to show when he's on court he has potential.

Ferguson was 19, hardly similar. He would be next stars under today's rules.

The fact Delany is called an NBA prospect was hilarious - it was a surprise he was given a shot at minicamp, and it wasn't as though he had plenty of minutes in Summer League. Relying on him for 25-30mpg at the 4's is quite the worry for the Breakers.

Webster has 2x years to run on his contract and no out clauses, he is not leaving without a team paying NZ a sizeable chunk of cash in a buyout which isn't happening.

Delaney will be ok, hell it was only a few weeks ago all the experts on here were certain Ball & Hampton would need to come off the bench and be wrapped up in Cotton Wool to protect them from Big Bad Wolves like Damian Martin lol.

Wow, that was quick... he looks athletic, mobile, handles the ball well, and shoots the 3. Looks like Majok and Loe will man the 5, a great change for squad balance.

Looks like he had a pretty strong game last week against defending German league champions Bayern Munich with a G League allstar team (17 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks mostly going against Greg Monroe in the highlights it looks) https://www.fibalivestats.com/u/FUBB/1359462/

Also had one monster summer league game against Cleveland (18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals) in July https://www.nba.com/games/20190712/CLESAC#/boxscore

S.e Melbourne need to get rid of benson quick also, this seems to happen a lot in the nbl.

Mostly good choices of imports this year but a couple of not so good.
