Tickets are selling well and the DEC's Sunday session should be attended well.
Good question, how do you watch it on the mainland???
NBL.tv and NBL Twitter are doing all the games I heard.
So much mis information. Why don't you look on the NBL1 webpage?
Why not read above about the non twitter feed?
So many dumb people here.
Someone has gussed NBL TV. Huh. Now it's fact when it was a guess?
Maybe the NBL team need to be a lot clearer in everything!
I'm looking forward to seeing Sunday Dech on Sunday at the DEC.
The NBL1 All-Stars Team will have a distinctly Tasmanian flavour when it takes to the floor for next month's NBL Blitz in Tasmania.
Tasmanians Lachlan Barker, a development player with the Sydney Kings last season, and North West Thunder youngster Reyne Smith will feature in the NBL1 All-Stars Team. Hobart Huskies import Zachary White has also been named.
The NBL1 All-Stars Team will be coached by Mark Chivers, who coached Hobart in NBL1 this season. North West Thunder coach Sam Armstrong and Frankston Blues coach Andrew Harms will be his assistants.
The team includes former NBL players Barker, Adam Doyle and Igor Hadziomerovic, alongside star NBL1 imports Dain Swetalla, Damon Bozeman, Demarcus Gatlin, Deonte Burton and Najeal Young.
This is all I can find on Twitter for the blitz streaming coverage. atm

Something like this has a lot of factors to it to succeed, but my lord, what a difference the NBL is these days where it can be part of a greater precinct rejuvenation.
I know the precinct would be largely an LK commercial interest, but the two (NBL and LK's commercial interest) go hand-in-hand in this particular instance.
I love this strong business mentality, ambitions backed by real investment and hopefully a head a sustainable business model that offers stakeholders an attractive investment proposition.
Check your fav betting agency. I know if you let the know in advance they can set a book for b'ball games. Usually a weeks notice I recall.

20 pages of sport in today's HeraldSun in Melbourne. Not one mention of the NBL or Blitz :(
Murdoch only looks after or reports on topics that suit his agenda. Why are you not surprised by this.
Double page spread in The Mercury and Page 3 article as well.
Looks like there are less than 10 tickets available to each of the first two nights of this, based on some ticket searches.
Solid start, albeit at venues that only hold around 1200.
Bet365 has a book on the Taipans and 6'ers game.
Nbl 1 you can see how far behind the nbl it is.
Not a spare seat in the house which is good for Tasmania.
I'll never complain about the commentary again after listening to Santamaria, Luke rattling on. Homicide who normally don’t mind dropping to there level.
Luke is a radio guy. Has no idea how to call a TV game. This is tough to listen to.
Might be an idea to have a true selection for the NBL1 team, rather than players NOMINATE themselves to be embarrassed like this. The NBL1 have decided to have other competitions on at the same time. This is embarrassing.
I don't think the Bullets are that good either!
Commentators talking up nbl1 guys that were absolute spuds. Some of the defence was abominable.

Great to see the All-Stars showcasing Basketball Victoria's flagship NBL1.
Don't worry BV, your league wouldn't benefit from having greater access for interstate teams, such as Mt Gambier, and making it a genuine national second tier comp. Get some more Vic Metro mobs in there.

For those Anons saying the crowd is good for Tasmania and good for a small stadium have you seen the empty stadiums at a Blitz before? People normally stay away in droves. The crowd is sensational!
But at least they were good posts for Anons!
Yes the crowd is very very promising. Go nbl Tasmania.
Man, only if cairns had a deeper bench. They would be right up there.
Griffin doesn't look greT So far for Adelaide.
Young guys like Wigness and Magnay looking promising for the future.
Nbl1 were so bad hard to make judgment on any opposition player. The other game was entertaining but early days for both sides.
Good games big gap in between NBL1 and NBL teams but fun to watch. Cairns v Adelaide was an entertaining game very close and fast paced. Both teams looked good for pre season Griffin looks good jawai looks fitter and Machado went well good signs for both teams this season.

If a bunch of Summer league guys fronted up against NBA teams in their preseason, wouldn't they also be humiliated? (probably why they don't!)
Don't hate on the nbl1 guys, it’s not the best side. Lots of players unavailable.

Those who play NBL1 but aren't on an NBL roster you would assume have to be worse than the lower NBL players otherwise they’d be in an NBL roster.
Only exceptions are:
1. Imports may be better then some NBL aussies, however not good enough to be considered amongst NBL import standard; or
2. A veteran player who doesn’t have a place because NBL looks for a younger development type player for the latter roster spots
1250 on a Thursday night in Ulverstone to watch 3 low drawing sides and an NBL1 team play pre-season ball. Fantastic.
Expecting them out the doors at Kingborough tonight for LaMelo.

Would expect bigger crowds with better teams playing tonight.
Kingston will be like the ol days tonight except in now only holds 800-900.
A combination of a Forrestville and Mount Gambier side would have done better than the production last night from NBL1 All-Stars.
Don't hate on the NBL1 though. All their teams players are playing with NBL teams...
"All-Star Team" was the wrong word to use. Maybe "NBL1 Select Team" would have been more accurate. From the moment they picked the NBL1 team it was always going to be undersized and Brisbane feasted inside.
Please don't let that game build your perception of the competition at NBL1 level. Really hard to put together a good team when the best players are in the USA or on NBL rosters and they have a couple of sessions together.

The NBL1 All-Stars team was more like a NBL1 Tasmanian Select side.
Ball looking ok among the Illawarra wreck. Defensively woeful.

Wildcats getting crunched on the boards, and that would be a worrying sign for them, particularly when you lose Brandt, Jervis and Hire - all good rebounders.
Majok grabbed an offensive rebound in the opening minute of the game, but they haven't grabbed another once since - and it's now halfway through the 3rd!!!
And it appears new centre Hunt can score but can't rebound!

Ball and Brooks before he fouled out looked good for the Hawks.
Kings won't make finals, still to many selfish players. Bogut hopefully will help them but Creek also has to come in for Phoenix. Ware got torched by Roberson and Bruce oh boy why.
Breakers looking good with barely one team practice together.

New Zealand have a great pair of imports on the wing, not so sold on their centre... yet.
Melbourne will be fun this year. Plenty of exciting players.
Any where to find the box scores from the blitz games?

Those white uniforms for United look horrid with the Microsoft Clipart arch. First Ever once again looking like Worst Ever when it comes to uniform design
Surely benson is gone. Apart from him and maybe Griffin(need to see more), all the imports have been great.
Pity Wiley didn't stick around.
Next season, benches needed to get deeper though for a few teams. Hopefully more aus/nz talent come back too from overseas.
Gibbo didnt suit up for the Phoenix either. Kings should be concerend.
Wildcats got lazy and the subs from Gleeson cost them the game. With .9 od a sec to go Coenraad nailed the 3 to go into Overtime.
Down hill from there for the Wildcats.

Perth have lost good coaching talent from last season with Nielsen & Adam Forde departing.
Kings looked old, actually Kickett did ok, maybe time for Newley and even lisch off the bench. Maybe they were trying to impress the new coach but so many open player passes went missing. Again Kickett and Moller the only two passing it. Early days though.
Another two capacity crowds (1000+ in Devonport and 1250 at Kingborough). Awkwardly they had to turn away people with tickets at the Kingborough game.
Crowd at Launceston not as good, no parking there and not easy to get to. Will be interesting to see how full the DEC is tomorrow.

I hope these 3 commentators are not going to be calling games together during the season. All 3 think there carp don't stink.
Yeah the commentary with those three guys was pretty bad. Luke especially was awful. Doesn't know when to shut the f up.
They talk up there mates, it's annoying when there scrubbing it.

They hear Heal doing it constantly and being rewarded for it with the most basketball commentary in the nation. Monkey see, monkey do.

I'm at the Perth Sydney game - either Perth don’t give a rats or Sydney legit
Great crowd and presentation
All positive
how are players measured? I know a silly question, But Jordan Hunter is 6 10 and Majok Majok is measured at 6 11 and Hunter stood over Majok after the game
Sydney better than expected.
Cairns need deeper bench
Perth need some sgs
Phoenix need to get rid of benson for an athletic centre.
Perth don't care much for preseason.
Didi looking good .
Next stars class impressive, still want ALL 9 teams to have one.
Majok,is 6'9 207cm, don’t look,at the heights listed, they are always a little off.
Hunter is 6’10 209cm
Kay listed at 6’9 is 6’8
Etc etc
The heights are a load crap, Kay is 6'8" max, Majok the height is wrong as well.. there are others both ways some taller some smaller.
Perth had 3 outs. Good odds on the Kings. Thanks

Cam Luke is a horrible caller. If he's going to be one of the callers this season, the mute button will be getting a workout.
Barlow showing no signs of fatigue from his world cup campaign in today's match against Brisbane.
Luke and Santamaria are horrible, just stick to the facts on what's happening. The live coverage is so bad it would good to hear a bit about the game instead of telling who good players, I’d rather make that decision with my own eyes.
Nbl lift your game on the live stream it’s no acceptable. Trying to win fans over and delivering this rubbish.
He was because Bolden WITHDREW.
Dave very upset.
So many fracktards here that simply should say nothing.
Stream quality not great today. Not ideal with some overseas fans trying to check out the likes of Ball, Hampton and Louzada.

Numbers good for Tassie overall at the NBL Blitz; those who attended woudld realise that level of basketball and entertainment should be here here.
It was a step up on anything we have seen in Tassie, the standard was great and have my kid so happy to have given Ball 5, hassle me to get him a RJ Hampton top and watch top level Australians was great.
Even if it was pre season stuff and teams were not playing full teams it was great to watch.
The next step is for Tassie to step up to that level - we can
What was today's crowd numbers. They should’ve made sure the stream was watchable.
You would think the nbl would be reasonably pleased with those numbers. Ulverstone, Devonport certainly strongly a basketball solid area. Build a 5000 seater there and play a few games there and balance in Hobart.
Probably all resolves around the government and LK business opportunities now.
3500 was the sum of tickets sold to the two Sunday sessions at the DEC. There wasn't 3500 there st any single time.
Still a great result imo.

Yep great result; showed the punters what to expect from that level of basketball
