Some talent coming through
Hopefully he's good enough to be made into a regular contract.
Will be interesting to see if we can put a full NBA team into the Olympics.
Landale Cooks Adel Green and now WMW are knocking on the door for contracts this or next season.

This is great news, very glad that his hard work is paying off... Glad to see another Aussie following the tradition of working hard and still making the NBA even if they weren't drafted...

For a full NBA team to be in the Olympics someone is going to have to give Nick Kay an NBA contract.

Simmons, Mills, Dellavedova, Exum, Bolden ,Ingles, Baynes, Broekhoff, Maker
That's 9 contracted players ( have I forgotten anyone?)
McDowellWhite on a two way deal.
Adel and Humphries I'm not sure if they are signed.
Safe to say all 12 won't play in the 2020 Olympics.
Availability and injuries will be a factor.
Humphries on exhibit 10, a one yeAr training camp deal.

Both Adel & Humphries are on make-good training camp contracts that only become guaranteed if they make the rosters.

Add Cotton?, Bogut, Green, Landale, Cooks and Goulding to the above listed 12 and ideally you have an 18 man squad to choose Olympic team from.

If all are healthy (and Cottons paperwork goes through on time) and available it would be a serious fight on for spots
For arguments sake my 12 would be:
Baynes/Bogut
Landale/Bolden
Ingles/Broekhoff
Mills/Cotton
Simmons/Exum
Delly
Maker
Mills 2-1
Cotton 2-1
Dellavedova 1
Goulding 2
Exum 1-2
Broekhoff 3-2
Ingles 3-2
Simmons 1-4
2 of Landale 4-5 or Bolden 4-5 or Maker 4-5 or Cooks 4-3
Baynes 5
Bogut 5
NBL side for Asia and Oceania now looking a little thin with so many at the end of there careers or overseas.
Back on topic...well done to WMW. I thought he was really good at Spartans a few years back.
Nick Kay just looks out of place on court next to the other starters

Well done to the young man.
However, whilst I have said before that I hoped he'd be in contention for any future Boomers backup spots, simply getting an NBA gig doesn't change his likelyhood.
Exum and mcdowell white + Wigness, Giddey and all the other young guys after that backup spot over the next 10 years.
I'm not certain all these two way contracts are that great, better playing a few seasons in Europe on good coin and follow the Inglis path to nba if you’re good enough.
"NBL side for Asia and Oceania now looking a little thin with so many at the end of there careers or overseas."
Hodgson, Froling, Jawai
Kay, Johnson, Barlow,
Creek, Blanchfield, Moller,
Goulding, Gliddon, McCarron,
Cadee, Sobey, Norton,
That's a pretty decent 15-man squad. Throw in players like Dillon, Steindl, Weeks, Noi, Drmic, Naar, Coenraad, Grida etc and I reckon they'll be ok.
