Norwood - Premier League Coaches - Men's & Women's Positions
Norwood Basketball Club competes in the South Australian Premier League, the elite competition for Men's & Women’s team. Our club has a proud and successful history in both our Senior and Junior programs.
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and skilled person to deliver and embrace our Club’s basketball philosophies. Utilising your effective communication skills and leadership qualities, you will work with various stakeholders throughout the club including management, coaches, players and sponsors.
The Norwood Basketball Club is seeking applications for the roles of:
• Head Coach - Premier League Women
• Head Coach - Premier League Men
The major responsibilities of the Role will include, but not be limited to:
1. Coaching the Premier League team
2. Promotion and development of a strong and unified culture that sets the example for the club as a whole.
3. Selection and development of assistant coaches and reserves (final appointments of coaches to be approved by the Management Committee)
4. Enhancing the relationship and also assisting with the transition of players from the Norwood Junior program to Senior program.
5. Management of the Premier League squad within the budget as agreed with the Management Committee.
6. Obtaining sponsorship for the Premier League program
7. Being a part of the clubs coaching committee and providing assistance with the direction of the program
The successful Applicant will have a positive coaching history, preferably at a Senior level.
However, applicants with a strong history in State and successful Junior programs may also be considered.
Remuneration negotiable with the successful applicant.
We are also seeking applicants for the following roles:
• Assistant Coach - Premier League Women
• Assistant Coach – Premier League Men
These roles will provide support to the appointed Head Coaches to deliver upon the above responsibilities.
