VJBL tryouts do many clubs charge a $10 fee

What do clubs charge for players to attend VJBL tryouts,one club now charging $10 per player

It's pretty common in SA to charge closer to $50, but I don't know about Vic.

our old club in Sydney is charging $58. don't even have trial dates and could get cut after 2 sessions for $58...crazy!!

Reason behind the charge??

Is it to cover court costs?
Discourage scrubs from showing up?

If you get picked does it come off your membership?

It was the year before, they haven't charged anything since the new general manager has been there. The person who did charge it just happens to be at Geelong now.
