Check out the Kings stat line

8 players in double figures
Knight and Barlow getting 40 points at 90% combined
8 players with assists and Rolan fouling out in under 20 minutes again....what is up with him?

True team performance. Couldnt ask for much more from Barlow/Knight. Worthington seemed to have a bad game though, but inconsistancy comes with being a rookie i suppose. He'll improve in that area. Another thing of note is the minutes, almost everyone played between 20 and 30 minutes. Not often you see that nowadays.

Did anyone notice Crosswhite being fouled out against Melbourne in 11 minutes!!! That should get the Dougie foul of approval stamp!

Thank God we racked up a win against them before they got a head of steam up - they will be very hard to beat from here on and basically impossible to beat at home. Whole team scored at a nearly 60 percent.

Looks like Goorj has got his team up and running beautifully. Worth noting that CJ only contributed 13 points, and on his night he can be a match winner.

With Luke Martin to come back from injury Sydney definitely look like the team to beat.

On the other hand, the Crocs continue to be a bit of a disappointment.

Sounds like a flukey game, just like the Bullet's game last season when they eliminated the Sixers in the playoffs. Any team at any time can pull one off like that, but repeating that performance on a regular basis is not likely. The teams that will make it to the top are the ones that consistently play well. If you check the King's stats since the beginning of this season and for the whole of last season, will you find 8 players scoring in double figures on a regular basis?

The Kings earned that statistic though. They were passing the ball so well. I don't think I saw a stupid shot taken all night. CJ didn't jack a single outside shot up till the 3rd. They'd just rotate the ball quickly and consistently, patiently until they hit someone who was wide open. As someone on OzHoops said, it was reminiscent of 5 brothers playing 'keep the ball away' with their 5 younger sisters. The pace was the same the whole game. The Crocs were just scrambling all over the place trying to keep up with the pace and movement of the Kings. The Kings this year are a team of essentially young, athletic, deadly shooters. I don't think it's fluky as much as a case of absolutely every facet of the plan falling into place, which just happens sometimes. They'll try and do the same thing every game, sometimes not all players will be hot, sometimes they just won't get the rhythm up, but if they have both with relative consistency, they'll do really well.
