Heard the exciting news over the weekend! Will just be a D2M team to start with?

They'll probably be pretty strong.

Look at Bellarine and RMIT who started this year. Great additions to the Big V

The league struggles to service its current crop of teams. More expansion just for the sake of expansion.

Where did you hear this??

they don't have the junior base and looked at it last year but pulled out due to running costs and suitable stadia available.

I think a team at this level is a NEED in the inner west but not sure who started this rumour.

So new teams in Big V D2 mens comp next year:
Westagte
Colac
Monash Uni?

Will the comp structure change?

That would surly make 16 teams. Would they go 2 divisions of 8?

Any teams go up to D1 mens?

The gap to D1M from D2M is huge at the moment. Not many would be able to compete unless they recruited heavily

Would Westgate play Big V games at the old Sunshine Stadium? Whitten Oval is about to have a huge upgrade but not for a couple of years.

Westgate don't have a team in the Big V and won't for next season.

they would play games out of RecWest (Sunshine Stadium)

Monash Uni would be good and Colac
