Pozoglou a possibility for backup bench forward.
Wouldn't expect much on import news until summer league.
No abuse needed because you started a meaningless topic. Ok.
Dunnigan rumored to be in the running for import centre spot

No strong news that I've heard. But I wouldn't be stressing too much.
Cats know what they need. Are waiting to find the best possible option that fits the team dynamics. Wanted long. Didn't get him, won't rush signing someone just for the sake of it.

Don't know.
Have to guess that a couple of imports post Summer League would be a good bet.
Maybe a couple of Aussies back from lesser Euro leagues as bench players.
Still a couple of locals around who might fit the bill as a backup centre; Bairstow, Jawai, or grandpa Andersen

Bairstow isn't a backup. But...
I think if the cats try to get him. That's exactly what they will likely be offering him.
They will be looking at import 5 options, have a pretty solid 4 already.
I don't see it as unreasonable for the cats to offer that. Would he accept it? Probably not I wouldn't think.

Bairstow hasn't signed anywhere, yet. ergo, he's still available, that's all I'm saying.
Would he be a backup Centre? No, but he could cover that role.
A pure backup could be some young guy, or an ageing veteran, and you'd expect them to play around 10 minutes a game, the starting gun around 30, with Kay rotating through as needed.
Obviously Bairstow is a lot better than that, but he can also play the 4, and average around 20~25 minutes. Heck maybe you call him the starter, and bring in a lesser light. Who knows...
I'm not saying its likely, but who's to say. I thought Jawai was a weird pickup and he won us a championship.
With the current strain on local talent, it would be disappointing to see guys like Jawai and Bairstow go elsewhere.
Wait and see I guess.
Compared to Melbourne and Adelaide coaches who have been communicating with their fans on the offseason plans, cats have been very silent. Need to engage the fanbase with some interviews etc and tell us what is going on.
Apart from players, I'd like to see who they get as the two assistant coaches

Is there any word on who the assistant coaches will be?

Slow news month for the Wildcats.. They'd better lift their game because the Bandits are going from strength to strength in expanding their fanbase

Wonder if Jesse Hunt is on Wildcats radar.
Had a solid senior year in college could slot into Hire's roster spot.
Surely Terrence Jones would prefer to play in Australia
Funny thibg is, if i remember correctly, Terrance Jones' name was actually linked to the Wildcats a couple of offseasons ago as someone they were looking at?

Be nice to see someone like Isaac Humphries replace Gus.
The Perth Bandits may be in the mix but it will be a few years away. Take that to the bank.
