The thing with the Slammers is back when they were good (around 2015), the four Americans would play 40+ minutes each game and the SBL caliber locals would get no court time. Those locals have since all quit playing SBL and you are stuck with a bench of players who wouldn't even start for their local club teams having to be SBL players.

big win for the hawks. redhage finally let loose, steindl wasn't getting the looks he usually gets. Jobi Wall played well for lakeside

Hawks gave the Lightning a bit of a wake up call. Redhage looked like he had finally found some touch He was excellent on both ends of the court. If Hawks play like they did last night consistently they will be a tough beat for any team.

The Slammers are much better than they were a month ago. The new Import and Keller give them much needed size and skill. They will catch another good team soon.

giants will make the playoffs but that loss on sunday will hurt their final position . could mean going to Geraldton and not going , playing the wolves instead of senators.
I think most people can see the good job that trahair is doing in Mandurah , they have been very competitive in most games without stewart,deng and ballyntyne in the last 2-3 weeks. trahair has developed a number of kids including parker,kearing etc . if they part ways they will be back to square one once again.
if lakovic has finished I take my hat off to him he has been invested in the redbacks program and made a huge difference including a title.
people will say he bought a title but isn that what everyone else is doing hawks,wolves etc.
the wolfpack would become more marketable without ettridge he is a good coach but doesn't have the personality . there is more to coaching then X and O "S.
I Think nener is in the same boat as trahair a good coach without the budget , I think the eagles have some very talented kids if they could identify a talented import and coach they could be good for many years to come.

Generally poaching results in 1 kid moving clubs that fits a specific need not a wholesale change with a stream of kids leaving all at once

it was only a few years ago that 3 of tigers most promising juniors in shervill garbellini and selby all left to lakeside in one hit. they left for a reason and a lot probably had to do with the environment within the Tigers program at the time

from all accounts the tigers kids that all moved across to cougars left for similar reasons

Absolutely agree with anon, and Spectator why don't you take a seat champ. Tigers juniors is in absolute shambles after under 16s because it’s a boys club headed up by one Alan Black. His methods are archaic and it’s the same coaches year in year out. It’s no wonder players leave after under 14s, sure Willetton is a powerhouse in juniors, but once everyone figures out their stupid full court press and 'breaker’, it’s game over.

Stats don’t lie, U16s, U18s, 20s and D1 are dominated by Hawks, Wolves and Senators. So how about you have a look at yourself instead of blaming others

using your position as a state coach to lure kids to other clubs is an issue.
