Premier League Round 9
Saturday
West vs North
Two teams tipped to make finals and contend for the title now battling to stay in touch with the top teams. A nightmare for West upon Kubanks return after having a great start to the season. Questions will be asked of the leadership group and coaching staff if they can't right the ship soon. North also have found the going tough against some of the top sides though they appear to have been a little more competitive than West and have college kids returning soon which will see them among the contenders again. McVeigh scoring easily and will present a matchup problem for West.

Eastern vs South
Panther army loud and proud after getting on the board against Sturt. Huge comeback from South and a big coming out party for one of the leagues best young talents in Jarryd Hoppo. Mavs faced a tough Norwood team made tougher with their imports debut. They have been competitive recently and will be looking forward to a lesser opponent to get a much needed win on the board. Morris a handful for any team and will score 30+ easily here.

Centrals vs Sturt
Will Casella be there by tip off, or will he have sent in his resignation? Can't feel good losing to his old club, especially blowing a half time lead. Notice Rawson is back and straight into form with 30, but besides he and Rivers there are not a lot of others up to the standard. Centrals hung with an undermanned Eagles but couldn't defend down the stretch. Riewer with a great all round game and with multiple contributors, I think these guys are finals bound.

Norwood vs Southern
Massive game between two in form teams. Southern have corrected course after a slow start and have finally had some good wins, albeit against out of form sides. Norwood looking like outright favourites with Moultrie having his way in limited minutes against Mavs. Brine will be out to prove a point against his old club and will get the job done. This is set to be a cracker, if you have nothing to do Saturday, ARC is where you should find yourself.

Forestville vs Mount Gambier
An interesting game made more interesting with the absences Forestville had Thursday. Presumably both Teys and Majok won't suit up on Saturday which may just tilt this in the visitors favour. The Eagles showed there's plenty more to them than the 6ers and Mays showed his quality with a huge game against Centrals. They will need something similar to keep up with the Pioneers though the matchup of Tom Daly vs Kane De Wit the two best PGs in the league will be critical too.

Sunday
Woodville vs Mount Gambier
Warriors on a charge now after taking care of their local rivals. No Stanbridge for a couple of weeks but it may help define their roles as others have stepped up in his absence. Turns out they may not need both imports to fire as Boonstoppel has stepped up. Tough for Mount Gambier to back up on the Sunday but I expect them to be a little too classy for the Warriors, who won't go down without a fight.
