Keep your eyes open for up & coming Aussie Bilal Akkawy. Many good judges say he's the hardest hitter in world boxing and he's steadily working his way towards a world title. His last fight was in Mexico and was a 1st round TKO and he didn't hit the guy in the head once....just a series of lethal body shots. Next fight coming up in Vegas next month

Fury vs. Wilder was awesome - the heavyweight division at present with the undefeated trio of Fury-Joshua-Wilder is intriguing. Although it sucks how after Fury vs. Wilder none of the three will be facing one another as they are drawing it out fighting weaker opponents to collect the monies along the way.

On the other hand ewww Aussie boxing -- how embarrassing was Horn vs. Mundine and the undercards before it. Just a boganfest with barely pub grade fighters. Not just the fights but the broadcast too was shocking. What an absolute shitshow.

Well if you're judging it from anything to do with Mundine your opinion is justified, but you're looking at the wrong guys. Check out the guy I mentioned above. Canelo Alvarez has taken him under his wing after sparring with him a couple of years ago so his fights lately have all been on his undercards. The next one is May 4 in Vegas.

Mundine makes all the headlines but there's plenty of good young talent in Australia. Akkawy for one is definitely world class

Not the athletes. I meant the local scene where there seem to be no professional cards anymore apart from the occasional freak show. Even Shane Heal (lol) before he went bankrupt was running some on the GC broadcast on Fox. I'm not kidding.

Akkawy got pooped on by a journeyman in John Ryder. Hardest hitter in world boxing? Yeah I agree, hardest at hitting the canvas. DAZN tried to gift him a title and his chin turned out worse than Amir Khans. He got pooped on viciously...
