Happy to have him back, hopefully in a 6th man role. I think he's still more than capable of 15-20 mins a game of high quality basketball.

Wrong signing. Should be signing David Wear up long term instead.

Good signing especially if used as 6th man.

Kings still a basket case though that this is a good signing.

Latest rumour is David Wear signed for life, and given 49% ownership stake.

David Wear signed for life is intriguing if it's in perpetuity because he will become more effective when playing his tombstone at centre.

David Wear is the worse import to last a whole season. I think even Turner (a SEABL import) was much more consistent at shooting and rebounding than Wear. As you can see in the finals, Melbourne's and Perth's imports carried them when it really counted. If Kings' management once again think that imports are NOT IMPORTANT, and just be "role players", they will lose again.

Kings didn't need imports, they had Bogut. He single-handedly rejuvenated the entire NBL, doubled crowds everywhere, and won the championship all by himself.

As others have said, if the idea is to have him come off the bench as a 2/3, with a stud import as their starting SF, then this is a great move.

But if their plan is to keep starting him at SF, then any team which can mount a decent perimeter D will smash them.

Considering the kings pay Bogut import money and they seem to be tightening their belts, they should get import one and four, try fill the holes with free agents.
Newley is a good signing and is still tough, though reduced minutes would help him.
