What year is Makur Maker? Froling could be a long shot. There are flimsier and less rounded draftees in the league.

Wonder if it play a factor in what he does next year. Will he give it another year over there if he doesn't get a contract, or will he come back to nbl to get some cash. Imo if he comes back it's doubtful he'll make it back there, if he stays there's a good chance he may get another 10 day contract somewhere and stick with a team.
Anyway it's great news and congrats for sticking with his dream.

I too think it is Landale or Cooks as the two guys who could crack it for next season. Whether they can or not is yet to be seen.

Apart from those two, I think it is Green in 2020 next.

Matur Maker is eligible for this year's NBA and is currently playing pretty well since joining Zlatorog Laško in Slovenia.

By my calculations, the earliest Makur Maker would be eligible for the NBA draft is 2021.

Josh Green will be drafted. He is probably next. And it wouldn't shock me if Frolling took a Baynes-esque path to the NBA over the next few years.

Green a probable lottery pick next year.
Makur Maker is eligible for 2021 draft.

Landale and Cooks have time on their side with Creek, Broekhoff and Baynes all making NBA in their mid 20s.
Wouldn't rule out Humphries yet as he is just 21.

It's not correct to say "draft express is saying (present tense)" Froling is compared to Jokic and Kanter. Said... three years ago... would be more precise.

Draft Express no longer operates, the article was written in April 2016 when Froling was a junior, coming off a strong showing at the Hoop Summit. All youngsters get comparisons that would wildly diverge from where they ended up ~3 years later.

Any reasonable projection now would be different. I can still see him cracking an NBA roster at some point.

Green, Maker(s) Humphries, Landale, Sobey all have some degree of a chance. Cracking the NBA is not the great white whale it once was.

Why is Froling so hyped? Doesn't seem particularly athletic. I can see why he's drawn the Jokic comparison whenever it was, because maybe the Joker was viewed the same way as far as not being athletic (I think he ended up being drafted in the second round and is now comfortably All-Star calibre). But Jokic has a great all-around skill set. Froling can hit a jumpshot, but he doesn't exhibit the same playmaking or back-to-the-basket skillset.
