Gleeson signs coaching deal in China?

That's the rumour anyway. I just want to see how many replies the thread will get.

I'd love to see Gleeson and Wright out of the NBL

Be careful what you wish for, you could get Cotter or Clarke back.

Gleeson's out of contract at the end of the season so could be some validity.

Could also be some in his camp trying to scare the Cats into giving him a new deal before the end of the season.

His high-pitched squealing at refs will be missed

Neilson has been waiting in the wings for sometime and is settled in Perth. He would be the ideal replacement.

I enjoyed the joey and trev sideshow in tonights game. I'll definitely miss their antics if both are gone next season

I presume you mean Nielsen, and no, he won't be coaching Perth next season.

Duh, if Gleeson leaves (which I doubt) then Stewart takes over, eos.

Does the head coach need to have the right religious affiliation or something?

If only Norton was injured a couple of games ago Perthworld would have his third import.

They couldn't possibly give it to Stewart, his record is terrible when it comes to must win games. He doesn't get on the refs and dresses like an undertaker. Would get chewed up and spat out at NBL level - as he does at WNBL finals time.

Really have to hope this isn't true.
Whether you like Gleeson or not, it appears that he has been given every coaches wet-dream, the ability to rebuild a team, starting with Cotton, Kay, and Norton. So the only way he quits is if that has been curtailed and he's been told there's no more money. And that would be bad news for fans.
