Adelaide v Cairns Dec 22
The term "banana peel game" has been used a couple of times of late and today is one such game. Cairns 1 and 12 are looking at loss #13 - in a row! Every loss they have is one more game closer to a win. The losing streak has to be broken at some stage and there has to be some sucker to take the hit. Can the Sixers slip up today? or will it be unlucky 13 for the Snakes?
While some losses have been light, there are a number of double digit losses in there.
Jawai is a threat, but DJ and Joey seem to have a game plan to neutralise his acidity to the Sixers. Otherwise he would burn them. Trimble is nimble on court and the playmaker who is most likely to steer Cairns to a win. He needs help from his team-mates.
Sixers have everything to lose in this game. Santa Joey could walk away with a Christmas turkey and pudding, or else get a huge lump of coal from Queensland. The plan would be, get to the game, play some good ball, get the W. Don't stuff around, or else Karl Stefanovic won't be the only turkey this Christmas.
It's a danger game for the Sixers, but they should give fans an early Chrissie present with a win
