Cheers for the link.
So Creek could be anywhere next season from G League to NBA to Europe or NBL but clearly NOT Adelaide.

Most discussed and overhyped player in Australian history? I think so.

In history? havent you heard of Andrew Bogut

You calling Bogut overhyped? I think he had a pretty decent NBA career especially considering his injuries.

Bogut isn't overhyped. He is elite at the things he does well. Creek, however, is a 'very good' player but I highly doubt he ever plays an NBA game. The most overhyped player is clearly Cadee, who can be absolutely useless for 9 out of 10 games, then have a single game that looks halfway decent and the commentators will straight up jizz their pants over him.

I think Bogut and Creek are both elite at being tossers.

MC of court attitude and media rants about the Sixers, a club he was at for 8 years will damage his career more than it will harm the Sixers.

The club is the supporters and not the yearly appointed management team.

If you bad mouth your past club, what are you going to say about your future club when it is time to leave!

But FM he is making it clear its management at the club, not team mates, fans, coaches etc.

In the NBA it is only the managers that hire the players.

OMG, Mitch Creek has one good NBL year and everybody is blowing wind up this butt.
He was in Adelaide for 8 years and only 2 seasons averaging above 13ppg.
Not one season above 15ppg.
If he was consistent over his NBL career, I would be singing is praise.
Don't forget he lost the captaincy due to posting online "can someone take the points" on a traffic infringement which is a major offence and cost the 36ers a sponsor because of it!!!

If Creek's ability was half the size of his ego, he'd be an NBA all-star.

I've got more chance of winning power-ball than he has of ever lnading a (proper) NBA contract?
6 teams have expressed interest? As what, a floor wiper?

And contrary to the claims, he's not even doing that well in the G-League. Even a 2nd rate talent like Jaron Johnson did better than Creek.

Plus he is an A-grade Tool. He's the one that fucked his relationship with the 36s. Asking for more money whilst still under contract, then walking out on the club when they wouldn't agree.

But sure Phoenix, make him your star signing, see how that works out for you.
As for flattening his battery, yeah that would be from watching all his home-made pornos.
What club in their right mind would want him and be prepared to pay what he's asking?
Probably the only teams desperate enough would be Cairns or Hawks, so yeah enjoy playing for league minimum salary.
I might have said Sydney, but supposedly the tap has been turned off.
Crazy thing is Joey is probably the only coach in Australia willing to put up with his shit.

I'm not sure if # 184 is Creek's ex girlfriend or a bitter Adelaide fan.
What a tirade.

#184 I think you will find Creek wasn't under contract and was negotiating the renewal of the contract. Hence asking for more money , which by all reports, was still under what he would have gotten on the open market. Make no mistake the 36ers admin botched the deal.

KB3,

I am in no way defending the 36ers and their disgraceful decision to try and block Creek's signing with Brooklyn but there does appear to be a number of issues from Creek's side. The rumour that he wanted a rise despite already being under contract (he was initially contracted for this season no matter the spin from Dome Rat/Creek's camp) has been out there.

Along with the rumour from 1.5 years ago that last season was always going to be his last with the team before exploring NBA opportunities this season then all the stuff mainly from Boti that Creek thought he was out of contract this offseason and truly really did want to re-sign (despite only being 2 years into the 3 year deal he signed in 2016) but the club flat out ignored him during free agency which is likely somewhere between implausible and risible.

It takes two to tango and there is more than enough out there to suggest Creek and/or his reps played their part in buggering up his relationship with the club to the point the club felt trying to block his NBA signing in the supreme court was a good idea.

3rd year was a player option, I have seen the contract.

Creek's camp started to negotiate an extension to stop him becoming a FA mid season and a deal was agreed to at a certain amount

The paperwork came through with a far lower amount and a take it or leave it attitude after other players were signed ahead of the face of the club

No doubt it was 3rd years usually are.

There was no 'stopping' him from becoming a FA it was his choice to become a FA or not.

I've heard the Sixers low-balled him rumour from his camp simultaneously alongside the Sixers ignored him during FA thinking he was already under contract because the Sixers don't know what players they do or don't have under contract (Dome Rat). One of those two is complete BS.

Creek is a hype man and they are enjoying him at Long Island. He has been solid in the G league and i wish him well. Those calling him a tosser, sure he has his moments but he served the Adelaide community diligently and was always working with kids. He has worked hard to get where he is and if Phoenix is looking at him then i think as an Australian basketball fan you should be getting around this!

And contrary to the claims, he's not even doing that well in the G-League.
21 points in 18 minutes on court today with half a game to run. But tell yourself whatever if it makes you feel better belittling someone.

When Ingles signed with the Dragons over the 36ers, the Adelaide coach said to his team "Don't worry, he'll probably be shit anyway." Ingles' NBA salary this season is about US$12m.

Averaging 13/7/3 in 30 minutes though. Good to look at averages and not one off games. Not brilliant, but definitely not "not even doing that well".

Out of interest, Creek's team is 6-2 and they are +64 with him on the court and -21 with him off it. He's 3rd on the team in scoring, 3rd in boards, 3rd in FG%, 3rd in steals, 4th in assists, 2nd in FTA and 2nd in +/-. He's obviously having a quality all-around season so far.

Another game for "he's not even doing that well in the G-League"...

24 points on 10/14 shooting in his last game.

Reading his Fox interview, you can see that his not-unrealistic goals are to get 10-day deals. If Torrey Craig's in there and starting, I don't see why Mitch isn't a chance.
