Are Adelaide the only team that can trouble Sydney?

After today's results, it is becoming apparent that Adelaide is the only team that will trouble Sydney, due to match up issues. Mainly, having Wiley and Johnson up front against Bogut, Kickert and Wear.

But Sydney will be a class above other teams. Also, Adelaide might not be that good. They're 2-2, but only two wins against Sydney due to the aforementioned matchup issue. They'll need more than that to make the playoffs.

If they aren't in the playoffs, then thats Sydneys bogey side out of the way and you'd have to make them strong favourites to win the cup.

Yes because the only other team they've played is NZ.

Still 5 teams that haven't even played Sydney yet.

Not to take anything away from Adelaide's wins but Sydney still finding their feet, as a Perth fan I wish we played them twice early in the season.

As a Perth fan I'd like to play them late in the season;
Gaze has either been replaced by Bogut, or completely given up and spends the game on his ipad,
half the team is injured,
and the other half is knackered after 10 minutes.

Bogut will trouble them, but at the same time, Jervis/Brandt/Kay > Bogut/Wear/Kickert.

Randle is a superstar, but at 31 how long can he carry the team?

Yesterday: "Well the Kings are clearly favourites for the spoon."

Today: "The Kings will beat everyone except Adelaide."

Overreact much?

One win against a NZ, still leaves the Kings equal last.

If this is reflection of NZ's shooting for the rest of the season, they will be be the wooden spooners.

koberulz, surely you've missed a step?

Kings are clear favourites. This is unfair!
Kings are hopeless. Sack everyone!
No one but Adelaide can beat Sydney!

lol... no Gaze for COTY thread yet? I disappoint...

Got to love the extremes these days... Kings were great, but I'd have been more impressed if they could have shown that sort of defensive effort against a stronger 36ers team...

Randle is a superstar, but at 31 how long can he carry the team?

He can only do so much, but if the other top tier level players are even playing at 50%, this will take a HUGE load off his shoulders as he may be tiny, and I'm reluctant to mention ant-man, but he can definitely carry a huge amount on his shoulders...

Bogut will trouble them, but at the same time, Jervis/Brandt/Kay > Bogut/Wear/Kickert.

This is probably one of the main match ups that I'm really looking forward to watching... The Jervis/Brandt/Kay grouping is certainly stronger than the sum of their parts, but by Round 8, you never know... Kings clicking more, Bogues used to getting shit calls by then, it could be a decent contest...

I'm also really looking forward to Bogue's first game in Perth... That'll be a corker with the home crowd stepping up a notch...

Gaze should be buying Wear & Adnam plenty of drinks this week, because he still can't coach

Bogut is far better than the 3 Perth guys and if given a fair shake from the refs will eat them. As good as Randle is still struggles on D especially on transition.

Bogut vs Perth bigs might come down to how much he's playing each game. He played almost 30 MPG this round just been with an excellent return, but if he's out, that's a big step down to his backups. If he's injured, that's rough too. Perth have decent coverage and get a solid return from Kay too.

Interesting that some thought this thread was worth mocking with a parody but three original is starting to look pretty accurate.

Sydney move to 2-0 against non Adelaide sides. Adelaide get pumped against a non top 4 side in New Zealand.

Adelaide might still make the top 4 due to lack of alternative, with Brisbane, new Zealand and Cairns looking ordinary.

The trend continues. Adelaide now 1-5 against non Sydney sides. They're looking out for Sydney in the fixtures! This thread is no joke.
