Does it matter? He needs 8 games to qualify and has only played 3 with 4 remaining.

They will try for an exemption but I would hope BSA denies it as it's not within the rules!

Hence my question, will Forestville try and bend the rules with a last minute application if he makes it to 7.

Based on past practices of course they will. Now the question is does BSA have the b.... to stand up to them?

If you read the bylaws, you would see that he would qualify with 7 games due to exemptions

The exemptions in the bylaws are clear ish

Eagles can apply for the following for not playing 8 games , injuries , high level commitments or exceptional circumstances

So they will either try and prove he was injured while on holidays or playing overseas in Argentina, or that over seas holiday were exceptional circumstances some how

They will have a crack for sure

Higher level only covers representing your country I believe.

Other than for monetary reasons, why would he want to play? He has no allegiance to F'ville.

What's your point? It seems that you've delved into the psyche of DJ and have all the answers, so please don't keep us in suspense!

How many doctors do Forestville have on the payroll.

Higher duties is not playing overseas

Injured? Was he overseas at the time? Irrelevant?

Special circumstances - if they agree to that then let's open up Pandora's box to allow anything goes. Anyone remember Royce Hart!!!!

People who care about the rules and integrity of the comp might hate and rightly so.

All clubs, not just finals bound ones, should let BASA know they are not compliant with the integrity of the competition being disrespected and attempts to manipulate it again by the cashed up Eagles.
And before the "don't be a hater" crap starts, it's not that unreasonable to be hating on a club that has bought 3 36ers plus an import, had another 36er suit this season and has been unable to qualify Johnson so will attempt to again manipulate the by-laws, pretending they are doing nothing wrong of course, by getting an exemption for a guy who has played one game, suited and ran for a minute in another two ( he was wearing street shoes Vs North in his 30 second cameo ) and will not meet the criteria of suiting and qualifying with 8 games.
If allowed to play finals the Premiere League will prove it is nothing but a farce of a competition and deserves the little respect and profile it already seems to receive.
Will be ridiculous if allowed.

How do they get away with it? They must think they will again if they played him for those few seconds. Shocking.

BASA allow a team that lost to the under 16 state team to continue playing in the Premier League, but shouldn't allow a 36er to play because he’s good enough to be wanted overseas. Sounds about right
