Lizzie is back from the states and ready to play in the NBL as its a gender neutral world and every person is the same.

Word is she can't to post up Bogut and teach him a thing or two because she certainly can't out think him on twitter!

Rhys Martin officially isn't coming back. I hope they're not trying to hype up Cody Ellis or something. That's a signing I'll gladly sleep on.

But anyway, Illawarra is building a nice team.

Seriously if it's Jordair Jett that will be a backwards step.

It's Jord Air!
He's perfect for what they need.
Physically strong & can penetrate.

I think he's a slight upgrade on Norton but their hand has been forced with his departure. The trade off to that of course is the downgrade of Blanchfield to replace either Rot/Conger - neither of which look like returning. Hopefully they play Toddy at the two and nab another great wing similar to Conger. Will be a challenge though considering their budget but would make for a better rebounding unit and Bevos switching D.

The player in the teaser picture on their Twitter has a very thick mid section, I think it's a lock.

Hail hail reality!

And there should no longer be separate male and female toilets.

If the announcement is Jordair Jett, that out of shape ex-Croc and is still out of shape, that Hawks member should ask for a refund.

Yes Singular.

Such a good signing... Expecting X Cooks will be the next one & Hawks looking fast, young & strong!

Jett. Naar
White. Blanch
Import3 Coenraad
Cooks. Ellis OR DJ (10th man)
Ogilvy. Ando

Grida 11th man

With that core 9 playing a fair share of the mins, Bevo style. White a little less, but that typical roughhouse hard nosed D to start quarters.

No way is Cooks coming to the NBL. I keep hearing it over and over but it's not going to happen. The Hawks obviously know this too as they signed Grida as a project.

@Anon693573 is clearly the Hawks owner...

fast strong and young and not winning anything! They;d be a good chance in SEABL thou!

Jett has been average in QBL and the local crew young guys aren't great "yet"

Pretty average side I must say. Must just beat the GUnners.
I reckon JJ will have to have reversing beepers on his arse now backing into the key.

Hopefully this takes up the budget import spot Delvon filled last year, and they can use a premium import spot on an athletic 4/5.

Ogilvy 25 / Anderson 20
Import 25 / Local 10
Blanch 25 / Coneraad 15
Import 25 / White+Grida 15
Jett 20 / Naar 20

Bigs = Ogilvy, Andersen, Conklin
Wings = Import, Blanchfield, Coenraad
Guards = Jett, Naar, White

A lot to like about that team if the third import is anywhere near the level of Conger.

Hey @reality, @Anon693573 is Air Delay (Hawks fan) & has faith in coaching, culture, systems & styles & whilst other clubs shell big dollars to BUY a championship line up, we try to build one.
We'll be in the mix come season's end : )

He was pretty good for the Crocs, especially the 2nd half of the season. They need to make a bigger splash on one of the other two import positions to be competitive, but could do worse.

Jett was a lot better than people remember. Sure he was pretty chunky but clearly he's one of those kind of players and his body has adapted to carrying that weight. He was still surprisingly quick when he wanted to be.

The issue will be that until this QBL stint he hadn't played for two years but seems to be putting up decent numbers in that league and you would imagine still has a fair bit more improvement in him whilst getting back into shape.

He's had a lot of gaps in his playing career. I wonder what he does for a living when not on a team? Apart from eating.
