Melb United quiet so far

Seems odd that the champions have made no notable offseason moves.
They have lost Wesley. Could lose Majok and there is no confirmation of Andersen playing on yet.

Any ideas who they might be targeting in free agency?

United went after Kay, Hodgson, Frolling, Bogut, Wesley couldn't get them all.

Chris Goulding has re signed.

United won a championship, now they've done that they have stopped over paying for rotation guys, which is fair enough

Adnam has been upgraded from primary school to high school.

they had the best 3 import pairing in the competition which if repeated will be a good start. There are not a lot of top tier free agents in Australia left. Being such a heavily talented team it would not surprise me for some people to leave seeking more money or playing time.

They are in a tough position.

You dont' want to break up a championship team.

But with all the changes so far, their championship team will need to be changed.

They weren't playing Majok so presumably wouldn't miss him. Wesley wouldn't have been cheap, so he's replaceable. They could try for Motum, for example, adjust swap an import and be OK.

They got reasonable service from Hooley, Adnam, Moller and Barlow - none of which would be overly expensive or under serious threat of being poached. If they keep Goulding and replace Wesley, they can get imports (same or new) whenever.

UTD will go hard to lock down their 3 imports to go with Goulding as THE BIG 4. They'll give Moller a crack as a starting 4, or if they miss out on Prather & sign a 4 man import, Moller will get a crack at the starting 3 spot. Hooley & Adnam will fill in the guard rotation, then likely Barlow as part of their veteran rotation. Majok will be gone, so don't be surprised if one of the veteran free agent bigs ends up in UTD colours too.

Will they try to re-sign Prather? Or go for Felix?

Perth has dramatically improved so far as has Sydney so expect the United to follow suit to keep up their status

"Perth has dramatically improved so far"

Impossible to say until we see who their imports are. Cooke Jr might have been a dud but I will be impressed if they improve on Cotton + Tokoto

Adnam's grade 6 primary school times were the best 3 years of his life.

NOT SURE HOW YOU IMPROVE ON COTTON WHO IS THE CURRENT MVP but should be easy to replace.

They've just won a championship and need to bask in that glory for awhile. They'll be making moves behind the scenes.

I imagine Prather will continue to pursue his dream, but how much is he making in Greece?
