According to this article he is expected to sign with an NBL team.

Mentions Perth and Sydney are keen.

Any chance to sign in Adelaide? Don't really have a backup PG unless you count Doyle.

Hearing its Perth.

Would be a huge upgrade on Doyle but Doyle is very very cheap and has another year.

An other boy out of Sydney boys high, no wonder they were back to back national champs. Very high iq player, excellent in a good defensive team structure, not the best one on one defender. Streaky shooter. Adelaide should chase this player, could be the missing piece.

Tom Wilson has signed with Sydney so it could be suggested that they are out of the race for Naar.

Perth not excercising option on Kenny would suggest they have someone lined up.....smart money says that is Naar.

Brandt/Import
Kay/Walker/Pinder
Import/Wagstaff
Import/Steindl
Martin/Naar

Looks okay to me

Surly Naar would've been a better option, from Sydney but bring in more tiger mates.

Wouldn't mind seeing something like this:

Martin, Naar
Import combo guard, Steindl
Import, ?
Kay, Wagstaff, L.Walker
Brandt, Import.

Find another young player for bench.

Heard his name thrown around but don't actually know much about him. Is he one of those young guys who can come in and make an impact early on? or will he still be kind of raw and not contribute much for a year or two?

Most college kids take at least a season, Drimic had good credentials but was not that flash first season,Humphries the same even though both got rookie of the year award. Lot harder playing against older and bigger bodies.

On the contrary, I'm hearing they are still actively pursuing. Pineau may be a factor swaying on top of other things. Despite their woes relying on unproven talents, this one may be less an issue with their stellar backcourt.

Hopefully that's still the case, as would hate to lose yet another promising Sydney talent for the sake of Tigers friends & family...

Naar should go to Illawarra, bevo would be great for him. As previously state high iq , poor defender.

For Perth, it really depends where they see Steindl playing? Is he better suited to backing up the 2 or 3?
In Perth's game, I suspect 3, which means there is some opportunity for another young guard. Also gives him plenty of time to develop without too much pressure.

You'd have to figure that Damo will see less and less court time, which means Norton should see real minutes.

How good is Narr? Could he step straight in and play serious minutes in the NBL?
Or is he more likely to spend a year as a DP?

Steindl's best games for Perth last season was when he was riding the pine.

Fro all the shit he cops, and claims he doesn't develop players, Gleeson has a skill for spotting talent others don't. He must have plans for Steindl.

Clint made his name as an outside shooter, a skill that seemed to desert him last season. With Vague coming in, Trev must have plans for Clint to be something more than the 11th man who plays 2 minutes and hits a couple of bombs.
If he's going to be the backup SG, then the only place for Naar would be as a DP.
Then they need to go out and find another 3 or 3/4.

Yeah great spotting of Stiendl, becaues he was in town due to his girlfriend playing for the Lnyx. Wow!

Naar has a much better record than Stiendl did at St Marys, not a super scorer but beat Dellavedova's assist record then so he may be better than a DP in nbl

That's the Rub isn't it.
Being a DP for a year wouldn't be a bad gig. They can be paid equivalent to the League minimum (plus benefits?)
And can play all the home games and half the away games (and that rule may have been relaxed when allowed a DP to travel.)

The WCC is worse now than when Delly/Patty played in it so its great to have the assist record but the team.conference dynamic is different.

Good luck to Naar hopefully he goes well at summer league
