Mike Nuwelu Import for Marlins had a stint OS after season wth Southern in SA. Will be interested to see how hs season goes and if Cairns pick him up.

Shawn Dennis to Cairns would be a great signing by Cairns and with Jordair Jett playing in the QBL it would be good to see him link up with Dennis again.

I couldn't disagree more with the above to be honest. Don't mean any disrespect but Jett was a mediocre import back then and the league has improved since that time. The only time Cairns have had success is with a killer pg... Ubaka, Wilbekin, Trice. Need to go shopping for someone well above this level if they are to be successful.

^^^ Not a huge effort haha, but look how the seasons turned out. I mean the new coach (Is SD actually confirmed) will bring a new system but certainly in the Fearne system without a pg that could consistently create they couldn't get it done.

Errr wrong SD rejected the offer as he got mo money in Japan. henare also had a bigger deal and Mike is next best to SD being his former under study. jett to cairns is still on

I'm scratching my head for why all this love for Shawn Dennis?? I don't know the guy but I'm sure he is a great bloke, but what has he ever achieved Coaching in the NBL and that's dating back maybe 20 years. I can't work it out, the guys made out to be a saint for one average season with one very average Crocs team...
