Andre Ingram Signs with Lakers

http://www.nba.com/lakers/news/180409-latest-laker-andre-ingram

More than a decade into his professional career, the welcome-to-the-NBA moment has finally come for Andre Ingram.

Only one man has ever played more games in the G League than Ingram, who has spent 10 of the last 11 years of his life grinding in the NBA's minor league system.

But Ingram ā€” who has played six seasons for the South Bay Lakers ā€” is getting his opportunity at last, as the Los Angeles Lakers signed him for the final two games of the season on Monday.

Is this the bloke who played like 2 games for Perth the other year, then just disappeared, in fairly suspect circumstances?

Why did he only play two games for the Cats?

The official statement was Ingram was experiencing some personal issues and wished to return to his family back in the US. The Wildcats let him go only to re-activate Johnson which raised a lot of eyebrows here.

Because the Wildcats preferred a guy called Cotton. Best to leave it at that.

The Cats basically used the rules to trial a fourth import mid-season.

When faced with a choice of Jaron Johnson or Andrew Ingram or Cotton, wouldn't 8 out of 8 teams choose Door #3?

Criminal record therefore won't be granted a visa overseas? Somehow got into Aus but the authorities realised afterwards? Would explain the lack of overseas career.

Half time: in 14min has a team high 11 points on 100% shooting (2/2 from deep) and has 2 rebounds

No not anyone can but scrubs like MarShon Brooks can be plucked out of the D-League and then become the first player in Grizzlies history to have three 20 point games in his first three games with the team lol

I don't want to discredit or invalidate Ingram's first game for the Lakers, I fulyl admit I couldn't hit a NBA 3 pointer to save my life let alone 11 points and get some rebounds.

However, at the very end of the season we will get more of these anomalies when teams rest stars and games have less meaning (depending on their standing).

I recall Jordan McRae scoring 36 points 2 years ago.
