Summer of tennis TV rights goes from Ch7 to Ch9

Big news in the sports broadcasting rights world. Does this mean a deal with Channel 7 for NBL is more likely?

So Aus Open will now only be televised on 1 channel as apposed to Channel 7 who broadcast on 7, 7two and 7mate? Kind of a let down.

It's a big lead into the ratings season and launching new shows.

Cricket will be massively under the pump now to get the money they want.

TV rights as a general rule are having less value in real terms than 10/5 years ago with online viewing and mobile access now growing whilst advertising revenues decline in the old TV space.
