Betting: NBL Round 19

Thursday;

Sydney Kings 2.09 & +2 @ 1.90

Jervis tipped to be back and of course Humphries won't be there for Kings. An opportunity for Bullets to bounce back from last week's meeting, while King's might not be so ice-cold from the arc this time. Kings current form would press top teams IMO, while Bullets still want to just hold the rope when winning, which presents a double chance opportunity for Kings, despite away and without the rest advantage this time. Price has tightened slightly from what I got but still a value play IMO.

I agree. I think the Kings will be especially keen to move out of the cellar, even this late in the season. Might be enough incentive.

Saturday:

Adelaide 36ers -7.5 @ 1.90

Bullets have fared well in this seasons previous meetings but Thursday's form and post game body language suggests the fight is done for the season IMO. 36ers will surely be looking to complete a strong finals lead-in, especially after the failing last season. FWIW, my slight preference in relation to this bet is that United win over Wildcats tonight.

... following tonight's result in Melbourne and Boomers commitments there could be minutes sharing through 36ers deep roster but am seeing them focused on making a statement, as mentioned above.

Sunday:

Sydney Kings -1.5 @ 1.90

Both the reigning NBL & WNBL champions had Grand Final home advantage via finishing third, so an interesting strategy by Breakers tonight to rigidly stick to minutes sharing plan over securing the win. Newbill and Sosa (both 8min below ave) aren't playing Qualifiers - I suspect the plan is that they are rostered for big minutes Sunday, allowing Tall Blacks extra rest. Regardless I like the form and focus of Sydney, which seems aimed to finish the season in strong style. I have doubts that even Breakers best effort will be good enough IMO.
