Brisbane @ New Zealand.

Is anyone watching this?

Firstly, its a good game.

But the thing is the NBL box score is very far removed from reality.

http://www.nbl.com.au/games/642617

With 30 seconds left NZ are about 6-8 points up but on the NBL scoreboard, its Brisbane by 1 with 17 seconds left...what is going on?

The app sucks and their web/IT/media team are too busy trying to mock the guy on twitter for fixing the 3 point line

96 - 89 to Breakers. No OT Stream was fine.

Saw boxscofe that game looked close. Decided to tune in to watch and game score was totally out as were the minutes for players during game.

Yet another 'in the cylinder' goaltending call. It's beyond disgraceful.

These refs probably watch more NBA than NBL

They still called it in the first place.

Yes but unlike you with your inane expert knowledge they had the smarts to correct the original decision in the end with the right one.

Kobe has never made and instinctual error in his life. At least the referee owned up to the error and corrected it. That get's him bonus points for admitting he was wrong. But you wouldn't know about that kobe because you're never wrong.

You realise they have a different viewing angle to those watching on tv, right? And the refs are keeping their eye on many other things, not just what you happen to be looking at.

Newbill is the real deal. Not a great shooter, but good enough to take it without overdoing. Takes it to the hoop and finishes as good as anyone.
Wonder why Abercrombie doesn't do this every night?
Jury still out for mine on Sosa. He is very erratic and I am not sure he can finish consistently. He will develop a reputation for those offensive fouls now.
Loe had a better game last night. He gets a free 3 pointer anytime he wants.
That game was real close and could have gone either way.
Brisbane starting to show some of their true ability.
How can Kickert shoot 87% and only take 8 shots????

The D is pretty aware of how good a shooter Kickert is, so they limit his shots. Maybe he could force more, but why when the team scored 89 at 53%? The fact he draws the attention opens up others.

Same deal with Abercrombie, he has been a part of so many successful teams because he picks his moments in accordance with what's best for the team, not his stat line.

Paul understands Tom,

Abercrombie plays team first always and Kickert takes quality shots not like a lot of players jacking up rubbish.

What does viewing angle have to do with enforcing a rule that doesn't even exist?

On what basis are you assuming it was an in the cylinder call?

I like how everyone trashes the refs constantly on here, even when it has nothing to do with the subject of the thread, but as soon as I point out one horrendous call everyone leaps to their defense.
