Rating the Import combos

With all but the league leading NZ Breakers having an import trio how do the import crop rank by each team.
We have already seen Adelaide and Sydney make changes and Cairns has had Carrera out injured.
Cooke has been a constant source of discussion as the next import to go but IMO looks to be settling in Perth.

My rankings
1.Perth. Mostly based on Cotton/Tokoto
2.Melbourne. Prather MVP candidate
3. Illawarra
4. NZ. Scary that they can add another import, Sosa is top shelf for NZ.
5. Adelaide. If Children's finds form could move up
6. Brisbane. Good imports but should swap Holt for a big.
7. Sydney. Tyler is a disappointment.
8. Cairns. Someone has to be last

I wouldn't rate Melbourne second especially with the way Ware has been playing and their wins and losses.

Ware's had a couple of really good games and a couple of really bad ones, with the majority just fairly good.

Overall Boone and Prather have been United's 2 consistent performers. Ware has been easily their 3rd best player.

United's problem hasn't been their imports.

I actually agree with LV.
Boone is one of if not the best centre in the comp and Prather is a MVP candidate.
They need more from their local players especially Goulding

Yeah on balance Melbourne has the best 3 imports if Wares firing. Aussies are letting them down. Kind of like Sydney in a way. High profile high paid Australians not justifying their place.

Considering Melbourne play there imports for thirty minutes plus, Goulding also lots of minutes it's a bit hard to blame the Aussies. Prather, Goulding and Ware all need 15/20 shots each and if you add in Wesley high shot count ain't much ball left to go around.

Goulding makes everyone else worse, especially Ware.

If Goulding came off the bench and was the focal point in the second unit, the team would be tough and the 3 imports with 2 role players starting unit would show that United clearly have the best import combo, but we know that won't happen.

Most teams have at least 1 budget import, not LKs team.

Goulding has under performed. He is a scorer who isn't scoring. Bit of a problem.

DA had one brilliant game against Adelaide at Hisense, but otherwise hasn't had much impact.

Adnam had a few good games to start the season, but lately hasn't done much.

Casper's averaging 14.6ppg, 5.1apg and 1.7 turnovers on OK shooting percentages overall (Hitting 3 threes a game at 39.5%). Overall he's done a reasonable job running the point. Just needs to stand up next time he plays Perth or NZ!

Melbourne has the best import combo if you're actually going 3 deep, Perth could be argued for but Prather=Cotton, Boone=Tokoto but Ware>Cooke

I think Brisbane should be higher in people's minds as Buford would be their budget import and he has been their best player all season followed by Trice, if they can integrate a more aggressive Holt into their setup then they will be much more dangerous and as mentioned above with Bubbles, it seems Holt should be coming off the bench as they are the worst bench in the league and they need a spark, also Bruce getting a start could do him a world of good but they'd probably choose Te Rangi first and ruin those plans.

Sydney could have an amazing import trio as the season progresses but will they stay hungry if they can't make playoffs?

Have we seen the best of all our imports yet or could say Conger go to another level after this international break?

Ramone Moore and Childress are showing their value. Moore is clicking with Sobey as well making for great highlights.

Ware goes missing in big games.
Boone is outstanding, but seems to lose impact as the game progresses.
Just comparing the two teams, its a close run thing between Perth and MU.
Tokoto & Prather would be roughly even.
Cotton is far more valuable than Ware at the moment, and whilst Cooke trails Boone, he's improving.
