1. Rugby League. Best sport on the planet
2. AFL (only watch the Swans though)
3. American football
Union. Used to enjoy it but now that Australian teams are rubbish don't watch it any more
Soccer. Rather have my finger and toenails pulled out with pliers while getting my balls blowtorched than watch any game of soccer ever

1. AFL.
There's no other footy code worth watching.

Football (soccer)
The others are all stupid eggball games where it's about hitting the opposition.
![](/images/avatar-40.png)
Most football codes involve copping a knock and getting through it. Soccer involves taking zero contact and making it look like you just got shot

Football( What we in Oz & US call soccer). All other codes have evolved from there.
The other codes are good in their own way, but soccer requires proper foot & heading skills as well as strength & conditioning.
Yes.. there are flogs out there who swan dive without a shred of contact, but stagers are in nearly every contact sport.

"All other codes have evolved from there."
Correct.
Personally I like a bit of evolution in my sport but each to their own.
I appreciate the skills of great soccer players but I find it hard to sit through a whole game.

AFL evolved from soccer, but is now taking it's cues both on and off the court from basketball.

Rugby league, then rugby union, then soccer then AFL.
Having played all of the above except soccer at a decent level there is far more strategy and execution of plays in the 2 rugby codes. Something which I thought would appeal to bball fans.

Football is the round ball game.
Hate how all these stupid eggball sports try to use the term as well.
There is only one true football.
