Betting on District Basketball
can anyone shed any light on the suggestion that State League basketball can be bet on via a betting agency?

Just thinking about it in terms of vulnerability to match fixing

I'd like to place an undesclosed amount on Centrals women to win the flag next season.
At SEABL level, players and coaches are required to do an online information session about gambling and match-fixing as part of their registration each season. Of course that doesn't stop anything, but it increases awareness and people can't say they didn't know.
There have been instances of people in the crowd phoning the scores to people betting overseas.
Yes you can bet on state leagues women and men.
But the betting limits on these markets are so small no one even with inside info can make big money.
Recently in the SBL (WA) every game was available to bet on excluding any involving Wolves. It is interesting this week as on Saturday they are in the Grand Final. No odds up yet.

What is the point of texting people scores they are online

Reason is betting agencies use live stats which are up to 1min behind, so when there is live betting in game you can place bets after a 10-0 run before the odds have adjusted, then when thebother team makes their run you bet on that and end up with odds on both teams that can't loose.

Thanks Melbourne boy. Other anon you are a dope
Big LOL at texting comment. Melbourne Boy gets it.
Centrals to win premier league, wow. Better off chucking it down drain with losing better players from wooden spooners. Wouldn't even take million to one odds, waste of a dollar.
