2017 FIBA Asia Cup - 10/08 Australia vs. Hong Kong
Don't be surprised if we win by 40.
The only interesting aspect of this game is which players get minutes.

Mitch Creek showing he's more than just a scrub. Lovely.
Don't think we will win this tournament based on what I've seen.
Could very well drop out in the 1/4s.
Hopefully we will see Anderson and Newley soon.

Who you kidding Anon? The only team in the cup that can potentially challenge us is New Zealand.

Good to see Blanchfield get his eye in... With his previous games and before this tournament he's seemed a bit out of sorts and was very underwhelming and had me hoping that the Kings didn't pay too much for him...
Cadee with another good bunch of dimes ad looking more to facilitate as well, maybe he's turned the corner on just being a scorer but I've seen this in pre-season before and then back to just scoring during the regular season...
Don't think we will win this tournament based on what I've seen.
Could very well drop out in the 1/4s.

Only way we lose to a team that is not NZ IMO is if a team catches stupidly on fire from outside and we can't buy a 3 against a zone defense.

Tournament basketball can do funny things. We only beat Jordan by a point in the opening game of the 2010 WC and were very lucky to do that.
We have a team that has played a total of two games together, with only two guys with any real international experience.
The Philippines has gone very close to a number of teams with a lot more cohesion and talent than this Boomers team - China, Iran, NZ and Lebanon are also danger teams if we have a bad night.
With so many unproven players, we will do well to win the whole thing, although we are aided by so many of the best Asian players of recent years not being at the tournament.

Don't sleep on Lebanon on their home court either.
I'd love to see us play Iran at some stage and see how Hodgson & Brandt fare against Hadadi.
NZ C team beats Lebanon. So there you go even the home team don't seem that good.
Are any teams that are contenders full strength apart from Lebanon? From what I can see no.
What did they take Anderson in the first place?
