What about the European player that got called for a foul and then in frustration headbutted the padded upright. The only problem it wasn't padded......

Tell a club that they want to play for them and will do so for a reduced salary then go and sign with another club and have to play the first game against the club you made promises to in front of their home crowd......pretty dumb to me.

A player on my time got the defensive rebound from a foul shot and then proceeded to lay it straight back up again, yes he scored 2 points for the opposition!!

The Grasshopper, Peter Walsh, was touring The States with the Australian Men's Team.
Playing a college team in front of many thousands, he was the last introduced.
The Aussies were lined up in single file facing their opposition. The Grasshopper gets introduced but trips at the wrong time and hits Aussie at the end.
This causes a domino effect and he ends up knocking down half the team.

I reckon that nearly everyone has done, or been on a team when someone else has shot for the opposition.

I reckon any professional player spitting on another is pretty dumb - ie, Jo Jo English (or was it Rick Brunson, or both).

A player the other week was talking to a ref about their problems. Wow, I think the ref cared......NOT. How do we know this? The ref was scratching himself while the bloke was talking to him

dumbest thing i've done was be honest.

The ref called an out of bounds, our ball. (i had clearly touched it last).

My direct opponent asked me if i touched it, i admitted i did while dribbling down the court.

The ref overheard this, blew the whistle mid-offence and reversed his decision.

1) Snorted Salt, Slammed Tequila and squeezed lemon juice in their eyes.

2) Drank from the Crown Casino water feature.

3) Travel in the hotel lift singing 'Eye of the Tiger' for 15 minutes to any patrons who use it.

4) walk up and down a tram car with your pants around your ankles singing 'i've been workin on the railroad'

5) in full uniform play 1-on-1 in Swanson St Walk.

and finally...

6) Put a handful of icecubes down your undies and leave until melted. Get seen by the establishments security and be the only member of the team to get kicked out.

All of the above taken from the Southern Tigers End of Season trip last year...

Well done again boys!

If anyone was present at the 2003 I think it was U/18 nationals in Knox Victoria...you must all remember the Womens Grand Final, SAM vs VICM. A girl got called to sub on but she couldnt get her pants off. The refs called play on with 4 against 5. This particular girl continues to struggle on the sideline....and finally gets her pants off. So, as you do she rans straight onto the court and stops the oppositions fast break leah. The refs were in disarray and called the team who had the ball with the side ball. One of the funniest things I have ever seen!!

Funniest in-play action is on NBA Comic Relief, where Rick Mahorn runs from the sidelines and blocks a layup.

Best live action was between two rather talented teammates of mine in a church league in SA. One player had "issues" with the other and they emerged from a normal time-out, paused, and then started smacking the crap out of each other. Strangely enough, both players were given their marching orders by the club. Legendary stuff.

Me? Was on four fouls in grand final of a national tournament. At the foul line, down by 1, 10 minutes to go. Opposition player tosses the ball at my chest with the ref's back turned. I threw ball back at his head just as the ref turned around. On your way, Moses. Tech foul #1 and you're fouled out ..... and a bench tech for your bitching about it. We lost by 3.

Moses, that foulshot coulda been your Lazarus moment.

During State Champs, I got knocked out taking a charge at F/ville crt 3 - smacked into back wall = out cold. (got the votes!)

Only one of many explanations for my handsome appearance.

Al Green kicking the ball into the ceiling at Apollo dislodging one of the cement fibre ceiling panels only to have it fall on his head, explode all over the court stopping the game for about 10 minutes while they cleared all the mess.

Comedy

Noti Bagy, that sounds what Lester (MO) Fonville did at the Apollo. Bounced the ball into the roof tile, dropped behind him, got a tech.

Took me 6.5 years to complete my 4 year course!

Another dumb thing on the basketball court - Playing against a Vic team at a Junior carnival...

Big Vic Unit starts to dominate and lil ol me gets the job.

some pushing and shoving in the post, a few bumps and elbows between us, then B.V.U. decides to push me
TWO-HANDED(!!!)
into the baseline referee! = Disqualifying foul!

(He claimed he was a Vic Country player - shoulda known better!)

OFFENCE IS PRETTY, DEFENCE WINS GAMES!
