An entire team forget which hoop is theirs

Interestingly no over-and-back violation called. Thoughts?

Looked like both teams assumed the ball was being awarded to the other team, and the confusion went from there. Really, both teams forgot which hoop was theirs.

So Russia were incorrectly awarded possession and 3 points (ignoring a back court violation).
After the indiscretion was identified, Russia is awarded another 3 points, which is later removed.
Spain were awarded 3 points, despite an own-goal only being worth 2 points.
Russia were deducted a further 3 points.
Then Russia receive possession...
The referees were apparently equally clueless, to the surprise of no one.
It goes to show that players, referees, score bench officials aren't concentrating properly during games. So when something this bizarre occurs confusion reigns.
Yes both teams are confused and I think it is correct even if the refs are aware a mistake is made to continue play until a score. BUT you can tell after the whole fiasco that the refs were just as stunned and so were the scorebench. LOL.
First thing that came to mind though when watching the players partake in this was - "the modern woman". They are probably too busy daydreaming about after the game when they can resume wasting countless hours on pointless social media.

They'll be shying away from social media for once after that debacle.

Classic. Ive seen it happen plenty of times at half time, and even after a tO on occasion, but never quite like that.
Brilliant.

there can only be 1 correctable error from the last whistle - however the game commissioner may be able to over rule all that and set it right - i am not sure there
