New CLB3X3 Competition in Townsville

Great to see ex NBL big man Greg Vanderjagt, current NBL star Clint Steindl and the No 1 Fiba 3x3 player in Aus, Tim Keating who recently represented Townsville in the Fiba Mongolian Challenger, all going at it against each other last Friday in the CLB3X3 comp with a bunch of local fellas.
If you want to get involved with this comp and live in the Townsville region the next event is on Friday 28th July.

Not knocking him, but "current NBL star Clint Steindl"? He's been in Belgium for 2 years. Or am I so desperate for off season news that this can be the start of a rumour that he's moving back?

Either way, great to have this standard of player getting involved in 3X3.

With the Olympics now on the agenda there are more opportunities for our elite players to represent their country.

Total respect for NBL facts.
Honest mistake getting his latest inclusion in the Boomers squad mixed up with "current star" of the NBL.
Either way, he is a star, and great to have this level of talent playing in a CLB3X3 Comp.
Had his team still been in the league this past season, he would still be in the NBL, very likely we will see him back in the league in the near future.

Amazing insight from the anonymous troll.

Great to see Townsville trying something new. Not sure what control you have over scheduling but if you do this regularly there's a great opportunity to get a few people down from Cairns if you schedule it around the QBL Heat/Marlins game. If you could line it up with a cowboys game too I know a few people who'd make a long weekend of it.

i thought champions league basketball was originally meant to be an offseason rival of the nbl? A like for like league trying to draw players during their down time

Yes but after LK revamped the NBL CLB went forward with a 3x3 model instead.
