He certainly seems like a talented coach, as 'The Truth' said, perhaps having more to work with at South will utilise his coaching abilities a bit better. Good luck Glenn.

Not all players at South are happy - one of the biggest names has already jumped ship back to her original club.

Re post 48119
Do you think even the worlds best coach could have won Centrals girls a game last year?

Glen can coach ... No one could have got a win at centrals they have a long way to go ... who ever takes on the job at centrals needs to be there for at least 3 years to have a chance to develop the players...for girls into women..

I heard Jenny Cheeseman was in the mix for Centrals, much better than Glenn thinks he is.

Jenny Cheeseman would be a mistake. She is good with high quality players but I doubt strongly whether she is patient enough to coach the centrals team..

Sadly Glenn did not get a break at centrals. He had to do the JDO job as well. Great coach, lousy JDO! If South let him concentrate on coaching the women, he will do well and establish a future for himself in womens coaching. Just dont ring Centrals for a reference Glenn!

well wasnt part of his job to be the JDO??? certainly didnt see him do anything to help the Juniors.

I didnt realise that you could pick and choose what part of the job you wanted to do.

Reply #48382 | Report this post

Glenn was given a package by Centrals and Starplex to do coaching and development he failed at everything except the ABA women. If he was employed by any company and failed to do the job he was employed to do he would be sacked (whinging parents or not). Think about if your boss gave you some jobs to do and you didn't do them what would happen to you? Maybe he jumped before he was pushed.

The bottom line is he was only interested in the ABA women's program and wanted the big money to coach them and nothing else. That's not living in the real world. The Centrals ABA women are now preparing to play the summer season with 4 players (3 of which are juniors) and no coach.

Glenn is gone and he has left the the program in dire straits, Centrals need someone to rescue it or it will go under very fast. The big question is if they do go under can the improving Men's team continue to play in the ABA?

Mustafa,
All those whinging parents pay the bills. They pay for the senior teams, they pay for the coaches, they pay for the umpires, they pay for the venues, they pay for the uniforms, they pay for the JDO's, if you were paying all that, you would probably think you earnt the right to grizzle if your 11 year old only got 10 minutes court time.
