How can you possibly have an all star game without the likes of Deanna Smith, Jo Hill, Erin Phillips and Rachael Flannagan? How serious can you take an all star game without them?

With all the talk of quality of referee's who has been chosen to ref these games? Considering the All Star game is the best players, who have been selected as the best referee's for these games? The top 8 refs in the state?

Excellent line-ups for the All Star games! No huge surprises and I think all of those selected fully deserve the opportunity.

South ladies were not available due to them having a club dinner that night. The othet three were included by their repective coaches and from that time until the voting closed their situations changed. Phillips is injured, Hill and Flanagan were going to be here. It would have been nice to have them but by your statement I feel that you are putting down the rest of the teams. You can only play what is available and to try and please everybody is next to impossible.

The players were selected via a public vote. If you didn't vote, you can't complain (well, you can, but no one will listen!)

I believe that Oscar was the highest vote getter with 155.

what about the second five though? i thought that was picked by the coaches? i heard a few coaches wanted other players in the second five but didn't get much of a say? i did vote about 50 times and i voted for oscar every time, i think he's great. it doesn't mean anything to me anyway, i just think if they do it next year it should be done differently!

The two all star coaches of each team in each conference chose the next five, so what you heard was a lot of hot air. I provided a list that they could choose from and told them they did not have to keep to that list...the choice was their's.
How differently do you want to do it? I'm open to suggestions.
For a first time I think we have done a pretty good job, true there are anomalies, but nothing is perfect. Sorry if I'm getting defensive, but a lot of people have put in time (their free time) and effort into this weekend and all are just looking for a success by a lot of the baskeball population showing up. I just think there are some players that don't get the recognition they deserve and others such as Bauer who play 5 games for the season, but is the only name known by people who don't follow the comp. It is a great idea though and i am sorry if i offended you.

Forget all the negative comments, I dont think those people would be happy unless it was the Michael Jordan / Scott Pippen era Chicago Bulls playing their full strength ABL club.

Can't believe Sullivan didn't make the all-star team. I know Bauer got voted in but having him in before Sully is a joke. He was still top 10 in scoring this year. Good to see Truck Blight in there tho. Next year hopefully he will be joined by the D-Train.

Will there definately be extra seating for this event?

Pasadena is a good size compared with other stadiums around Adelaide but nowhere near big enough for an event like this.

I've heard that the proposed extra seating might not be happening which would make seating very interesting.

I'd expect that a lot of people will chance it buying tickets at the door instead of calling and paying by credit card or going past the Dome (miles out of the way).

Would've been good if clubs could've sold tickets also, or various sports stores around Adelaide?

Just got told you can't buy tickets over the phone. Good luck to all who are going to line up for a ticket if you can't make it to the Dome to purchase one. There will be some disappointed people on Saturday and Sunday.

The proposition for seating was to have seatign from wayville go to Pasadena. How can u possibly get it in there for one, and the agreement between the Horticultural Society and the Forestville Eagles (as rumoured) is that the seating remains in the stadium for the dog shows.
