Div 2 when no Div 1
When a club enter their #1 team in div 2 and they finish first or second over summer, are those teams put in Div 1 for winter?

Not necessarily I wouldn't think.
You said they might finish second so they might not necessarily be dominating the league.
Also It depends on if they will have all their players for Winter. The league would probably talk to them about playing div 1 and then both deciding whether or not they will be competitive or not.

in this particular case, there are two teams in div 2 that are their clubs #1 side. Both teams have lost 1 match each going into todays matches.

they go in whatever grade their club nominates for if a member club and the only team from that club

is it true that Western Magic isnt allowed to enter a team into DIV 1 ?
i have seen them play div 2 when a spot exists.
but on your topic, if this is under 18 girls, it is because there is a huge casm in skill so their top team may seem strong in 2 but probably not strong enough for 1
