Are there any Sixers who could take DPOTY? They've got COTY, MIP, MVP and ROTY in the bag, I'd say, with Creek and Clarke fighting over 6MOTY.

For someone who came into the league as a gun shooter, that part of his game has been disappointing (but has been improving). But there's other facets of his game that are really well above expectations. He's an amazing rebounder for his height/position and his defense is also very good for his age and experience level.
He still struggles at home more than away, which could be a mental thing, but he will work through that. Should have a solid future here.

Well let's be honest when a former MVP is coming off the bench you'd expect him to win the 6th man award. But not like Kevin white is a better player. A guy like creek in the spirit of the award is just as deserving. That being said Clarke is a great player and guy so congratulations to him!

No problems with Clarke winning the award but considering he is averaging the most minutes for the Hawks he isn't what I would consider a 6th man. Players like Wagataff Rhys Martin, Coneraad or Creek would be more of a player that fits the description of a 6th man. Not saying any of those players should of got the award but Rotnei is more of a star coming of the bench.

Fstos I'm merely observing that he isn't the regular 6th man mold. He deserves it based on his starting on the bench. But that's where his credentials stop. In every other way he is all star 5 material not a role player but a star player. You'd be kidding yourself if you are to think the majority of NBA and nbl 6th men have been Stars in the past. Clarke is a rarity.

@anon Auctions were for charity - not sure where but the items being auctioned included a trip to Vegas, Hot lap and Grand Prix tickets, dinner with George from Masterchef.

I imagine the long break is for dinner being served and social interactions - it is a Awards dinner - granted they could of pre recorded some more interviews, shown highlights or even shown some of the "In their own words" segments.

Yeah this format and that auction have killed off any interest level from me. Would've been better to not run the same adds over and over and have a stream of highlights from this season or seasons past playing for highlights and entertainments sake. This is very nbl.

Craig deserved a spot in the 1st team. Not sure how he landed outside the top 8 in the MVP voting, I would have picked him third behind Randle and Prather.

Yes, apologies to Ferguson - I just got so used to typing "Randle"

Although, I would like to see him dunk in a game...

They had to choose a Centre.
No they didn't.

Which one, Brisbane game or the recent mauling of Melbourne's b team?

I thought Craig, Prather or Whittington threw down some better dunks then either of those two from Ferguson.

They stated the criteria for the all star 5's as 3 outside player and 2 inside players - so potentially they team could of been 3 PGs and 2 Power Forwards. There was no rule to have a Centre.

Jobe you know what he means. A big as opposed to barrage of smalls. Such a technical Bataks when you feel the need to allay down the law.

Is there anywhere I can watch a replay? Didn't get to see the end and would like to see the MVP acceptance speech, top ten plays etc

I would presume it'll be available in NBL TV's VOD section sometime in 2022.

I turned on at 7:30 and expected a small wait b4 tip off nothing until about 7:50 and then no sound. I gave up then. I looked on FB and saw everyone complaining about the ads and breaks and ads and didn't go back. They clearly should have aired something during the meal break. Hopefully they will learn from this if there is a next year.

No need to really re watch. You missed some lame jokes and banter with 2 very non basketball announcers and Jerome wasn't too overly excited etc it's business time and you could tell he would've much preferred to be back on adelaide relaxing preparing.

Yep hosting was like watching the headmaster and his deputy trying to be cool at a kids assembly. Speeches were okay but weird questions like about Jerome being the shortest guy in the league and Randle was prob thinking why didn't he say I'm black too.. Very obvious the teleprompter and presenters have depth of basketball knowledge issues and no idea of the culture
