Mitchell has gone home to the USA to get further specialist advice around his eye..may or may not be back.

Bunch of dickheads that you are. Clearly if he is going back to the USA for further treatment things may not be as positive as first thought hoped. Watch yours eyes, karma can be swift when making fun of serious things such as this. Hope he is well and it's all precautionary but odd if it's stable situation he wouldn't atleast stay in nz to watch the playoffs or rest of season.

Obviously eyesight is tricky, a slight pull in a muscle or connective tissue can ruin your focus.

Plus if the damage stays, it can be at increased risk of dislodging in the future.

I imagine his season is over, so it makes sense to return home for any surgery and/or rehabilitation.

Hope it gets fixed, and he gets his career back on track.

The Breakers have said depending on his health he could fly back during the playoffs if they make it.

Zodiac thanks for sharing. That is a good part to this. The assumption based on him leaving his team is things aren't good and he needs to start some sort of long term rehab and forget bball for a while.
